SMC honors its teachers on Teacher’s Day
Why do we celebrate Teacher’s Day?
For innumerable reasons, this special day celebrates
the painstaking efforts of our teachers who dreamt of
pursuing the future by guiding children.
A teacher is a friend, philosopher, and guide who holds our
hand, opens our mind, and touches our heart. The
contribution of a teacher cannot be ignored at all. In many
countries across the world, teacher's day is a special day
where teachers of schools, colleges, and universities are
honored specially.
On October 04, 2019, our teachers will be treated with
massage and relaxation with sumptuous meal. They will also
play games and sing their hearts out through our got talent
and videoke challenge. A movie room will also be allotted for
the teachers to enjoy their favorite films.

On maintaining an open line of communication
It is always SMC’s goal to strengthen home -school collaboration as
partners in the holistic development of our students. This is made
possible by having an open line of communication to be able to address
concerns regarding the curriculum, instruction and assessment.
Here are 3 tips on how to maintain an open line of communication:
1. Write notes in the diary. Your comments and suggestions as well as
words of commendation to a teacher and the school can be best written
in the diary for quick response and action.
2. Set an appointment with the concerned teacher and the immediate head. It
is highly appreciated if issues can be addressed directly to the concerned teacher as
well as his/her immediate head rather than through the social media sites. This is to
ensure that concerns can be pinpointed and action plans are developed from the
concerted effort between the teacher and the parent.
3. Set for a one-on-one appointment with the Deputy Principal or Principal. If
you think that issues or concerns raised have not been addressed, you may set an
appointment for a one-on-one meeting with the Deputy Principal or Principal. Please
set an appointment through the PR Office.
