Brahmin Son I. Siddhartha is a young man who has an enviable life, However he is still unsatisfied with
oneself. Siddhartha decides to go on his own journey to find himself.
II. Siddhartha is accompanied by his best friend Govinda who admires him.

I. With the Samana'sSiddhartha realizes that his journey may not be as easy as it seems. Siddhartha learns a lot from the Samana's
such as escapes are only for a second and that one must confront the problem .Siddhartha also learns that he can not reach enlighten just as well as they have not reached enlightenment . Siddhartha ends up leaving
with Govinda .

With the Buddha
I. Siddhartha and Govinda hears about the Buddha or the enlighten one. The Buddha has reached enlightenment ,so Siddhartha realizes
that what may work for one person may not work for another. Eventually Siddhartha and his best friend Govinda split and Siddhartha recites The
Buddha has robbed me from my best friend .

A. Siddhartha is morose that Govinda is gone. However that does not stop Siddhartha from not achieving his
journey yet and still it make him push harder.

River
The river is a significance part .The river represents life journey itself .Life has a
beginning middle and end .Siddhartha realizes that his journey just begun and Siddhartha hears the words Om. This is a metaphoric terms for bird how they can be set free into
the sky.

Vasudeva
Vasudeva is unlike the Buddha ,he listens people problem without saying the answer. This is where he learns that time does not
exists for no one .Siddhartha is one his way to finding himself.

Kamala • Siddhartha meets a young lady
named Kamala. Siddhartha learns a lot that such as love can not be forced ,and that it must act upon naturally .Siddhartha also learns about the material world as well .

Ferryman
• Siddhartha meets the Ferryman named Vasudeva .While working with Vasudeva ,Siddhartha learns the importance of the river. Siddhartha also learns the act of smiling and tha a smile can not be forced a smile must come naturally .Kamala eventually dies but Siddhartha says “he cannot be said because he is blessed with a son” .

Siddhartha and his son are clashing .Siddhartha thinks his son a spoiled little guy .Siddhartha is showing disrespect by saying bring your own
twigs while talking to his farther .Siddhartha own son decides to do what Siddhartha did when he was nineteen leave and go on his own journey.
However it trouble him it burn a wound deeply in his soul as Siddhartha recites.

Om • Om throughout the chapter helps Siddhartha.
Siddhartha has to let his son go which is hard for a farther to let him go .Siddhartha must recall as what his farther did to him let him go into finding his own path. Vasudeva eventually leaves Siddhartha and leaves him and his soul has gone to unity and at this point enlightenment is reached

Govinda
Siddhartha has reached enlightenment .Govinda his best friend comes back and Siddhartha give him some wisdom about why he has not reached enlightenment .However
knowledge can be taught but wisdom cannot .Siddhartha and Govinda eventually stay together and they both live
happily ever after and they have reached enlightenment.
