Saansad Adarsh Grams in Chhattisgarh

Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojna launched on October 11, 2014 across the country.
Selection of 16 villages completed by 11 November, 2015 by 11 Lok Sabha and 05 Rajya Sabha MPs.
Chhattisgarh achieved all of criteria prescribed by the Govt. of India.
Inspired by the Saansad Adarsh, 90 MLAs adopted 90 Villages as Vidhayak Adarsh Grams since 01 April, 2015.

Letter Dated 27.11.14 served to Secretaries of line departments to issue necessary instructions to their respective subordinates regarding implementation of the Scheme.
Vide letter dated 12.12.2014 all concerned District Collectors advised to give priority under BRGF Scheme.
Vide letter dated 12.12.2014 all concerned District Collectors advised to give priority under Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Sashaktikaran Abhiyan (RGPSA).
Issued detailed guidelines in December, 2014 to all concerned District Collectors regarding implementation of the Scheme.

Pursuant to Government Letter all line departments issued letters to their subordinate offices to give priority to the Saansad Adarsh Grams.
Wrote letters to Non-Government Organisations to participate and contribute in the Scheme.

Approach
Leader of the programme - MP with the help of district administration.
Priority given to SAGY villages in State Schemes (Eligibility limit enhanced 20 Lakh to 50 Lakh).
Joint visit of MP and Collectors to the SAGY village at various stage.
Special Gram Sabha conducted.
Specific identification given to the SAGY villages as “Nasha Mukt Gram”, “Full Literacy”, crops and culture specific name.

Approach
Creation of Village songs and village themes for special identification.
All SAGY villages to be ODF villages with safe drinking water preferably pipe water supply.
State government department have been requested to issue directive for there departmental activities in these selected villages.
VDP have been forwarded to various departments for sanction at their level and if required budget provision in the next budget.

Where we stand
• VDPs of all 16 villages have been prepared looking to the special needs of the villages.
• Mostly irrigation has been the priority.
• Employment generation at village level, quality of education and women empowerment has been given priority.
• Sanitation and drinking water has been addressed.

• All 16 villages have been included in to SBM action plan and 2 have became ODF without taking SBM fund.
• 100% Jan Dhan account opened in SAGY villages.
• Common service centers opened in 9 SAGY villages.
• All SAGY villages have conducted health camp.
• All the members of gram panchayat Karmha, Distt. Surguja elected unopposed in the panchayat.
Where we stand

• 2 SAGY villages has become “Nasha mukt” and conduct “Swachchata Day” every week.
• Skill development training conducted in Mohlai, Distt. Durg, resulting placement of 9 youths.
• SAGY village Charra, Distt. Dhamtari establish “Jan Bhagidari Kosh” where people Voluntarily contribute for development works.
• Separate Action Plans for Swami Atmannd Vachanalaya in selected Aadarsh Grams.
• Allocation released to Rural Electrification corporation for power expansion in selected villages under Deendayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana.
