CONCLUSIONS
![Page 24: Salary Compression: Is It a Problem? Presentation prepared by 2008-2009 PTS Committee based on data collected & analyzed by 2007-2008 PTS Committee. Analysis](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022081519/56649cec5503460f949b9645/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
Associate Professors
• Starting salaries for assistant professors continue to go up, while associate/full professor salaries are not keeping pace
• Starting salaries are already equaling or exceeding associate professor salaries in the CBA, and are projected to equal or exceed in CLS/SAH by 2010-2011.
• Associate professors promoted longer ago tend to earn SLIGHTLY more than associate professors promoted more recently, but this does not hold true in all cases.
![Page 25: Salary Compression: Is It a Problem? Presentation prepared by 2008-2009 PTS Committee based on data collected & analyzed by 2007-2008 PTS Committee. Analysis](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022081519/56649cec5503460f949b9645/html5/thumbnails/25.jpg)
Full Professors
• Full professors promoted longer ago are earning more than newly promoted full professors in CLS and SAH.
• Full professors promoted longer ago are earning LESS than newly promoted full professors in CBA.
• Starting salaries will equal or exceed full professor salaries in all colleges by 2012-2017.
