New Delhi (UNI)The GST Council on Friday decidedto continue concessional rate on cer-tain drugs for treating Covid till year-end and lower duty on key anti-Can-cer drug Keytruda to 5 per cent whiledeferring plans to include diesel andpetrol in the GST ambit. The all-pow-erful Council also decided to reduceGST rate to 5 per cent on Covid relat-ed drugs such as Itolizumab, Favipi-ravir and 2-Deoxy-D-Glucose.

While GST rates on some items

were reduced, several items saw anincrease in tax while a few beingadded to the tax net.

Food-delivery apps such asZomato and Swiggy would not be li-able to pay GST as their platformswould be treated as restaurants.Briefing the media after the day-longGST Council meeting held here, Fi-nance Minister Nirmala Sitharamansaid that the issue of petroleum prod-ucts being in GST ambit was broughtfor consideration but after due deliber-ation it was decided that it is not ap-propriate to do so at this stage.

Inclusion of diesel and petrol inGST would allow industry to claiminput tax credit (ITC) thus loweringtheir cost. Consumers are also ex-pected to gain from it provided ratesare fixed accordingly and there isrevenue buoyancy in the economy.

Given that states have seen theirrevenue getting impacted by Covidwhile healthcare costs have gone up,they have opposed any move tobring the auto fuels in GST regime.

Special CorrespondentJabalpur: Renowned astrologerPt. Narayan Shankar NathuramVyas has said in his predictionthat after the upcoming elec-tions, once again the BJP will besuccessful in forming its gov-ernment in Uttar Pradesh.

He said - BJP is goingthrough the moon’s ma-hadasha, and the moon is mak-ing Neech Bhang Raj Yoga.

In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Min-ister Yogi Adityanath was swornin on Ashtami Tithi, which ishalf bright and the Moon of hisgovernment is making NeechBhang Raj Yoga. This yoga be-comes even more powerfulwhen both BJP and Chief Minis-ter Yogi make Moon Neechab-hang Raj Yoga.

In the horoscope of Yogi

Government, the ninth houseof Sun, Mercury and Venusmakes this yoga especially aus-picious and powerful.

Wherever elections will beheld next including UttarPradesh, BJP will deny the tick-

ets to its present MLAs in largenumbers and give tickets to thenew people with clean image.

In this way, under the leader-ship of Yogi Adityanath, onceagain the BJP will be able toform the government in UttarPradesh.

In Gujarat too, BJP will formits government despite toughstruggles.

Due to the Moon in the sixthhouse and Saturn and Marstransiting Capricorn in thehoroscope of the BJP, the BJPwill have to face tough chal-lenges in every state electionahead.

But in the horoscope of BJP,Malavya Yoga, Moon’s debilitat-ing Raja Yoga and Gajakesari Yo-ga are still giving the party thepossibility of more progress.

Dushanbe/New Delhi (UNI)The global community must thinkcarefully and hold consultationswith each other before giving accep-tance to the new regime inAfghanistan which is not inclusiveand has been put in place withoutnegotiations, Prime Minister Naren-dra Modi said on Friday, giving In-dia’s first official reaction to the Tal-iban regime in Kabul.

In his address to the SCO-CSTOOutreach summit on Afghanistan,Prime Minister Modi also said that ifviolence and extremism continues inAfghanistan it will lead to a spike inradicalism and extremism across theworld and encourage terrorist or-ganisations across the world to re-sort to extremism and violence tocapture power.

“The developments in Afghanistanwill have an impact on neighbouringcountries like India and for that it isvery important to have regional focusand regional cooperation on the is-sue,” PM Modi said.

He cited four points to focus on:"First is that the new dispensation inAfghanistan is not inclusive and has

been put in place without negotia-tions. This poses questions on its ac-ceptability. The representation ofwomen and minorities and everysection of Afghan society in the gov-ernment is very important.

"And that is why it is very impor-tant that the global community thinkcarefully and hold consultations be-fore giving acceptance to the newregime in Kabul. On this, India sup-

ports the central role of the UN," PMModi said.

The second issue is: If violenceand extremism continues inAfghanistan then it will lead to aspike in radicalism and extremismacross the world. Other terrorist or-ganisation will also get encouragedto resort to extremism and violenceto capture power, he said.

“All our countries have been af-

fected by terrorism, and that’s whywe should together decide thatAfghanistan’s territory must not beallowed for terrorist activities in an-other nation.”

He said that SCO member nationsshould draw up strict and clearnorms on this. Later, these normscan become a template for globalanti-terror cooperation

“These norms should be based onzero tolerance for terrorism,” hestressed. “This should include a codeof conduct to put a stop to cross-bor-der terrorist activities and terror fi-nancing, as well as for their enforce-ment,” he said.

The third point, was that the de-velopments in Afghanistan can leadto large scale increase in traffickingof drugs, illegal weapons and hu-mans.

“Huge amount of sophisticatedweapons have been left behind inAfghanistan, and due to this thethreat of instability in the entire re-gion will remain,” he said, referringto the weapons left behind by the USin Afghanistan after they exited thecountry on August 30.
