Freshman nursing students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher are eligible for this scholarship.
Agrium U.S., Inc., Tifton,
Georgia Scholarship
Created by Agrium U.S. Inc., this scholarship provides funds to students with demonstrated leadership ability and a
declared major within the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Involvement in leadership activities - particularly in organizations such as FFA, FCCLA and/or 4-H - are a strong
consideration for award.
Larry D. Allen Agricultural Leadership Scholarship
The recipient of this scholarship must be a student in the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources. The student
must show leadership ability through campus involvement, character qualities such as integrity, honesty, and loyalty, and
professional qualifications such as thoroughness in work habits and cooperativeness. The student must also have a 3.0
or higher GPA.
ABAC Ag Alumni
Scholarship
The ABAC Ag Alumni Scholarship is awarded to students with recommendations from faculty in the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, this scholarship gives preference to
leaders in FFA, FCCLA and 4-H. Alumni

The scholarship is awarded to a current or incoming ABAC student who is a direct family member (child, sibling, spouse, grandchild, or great grandchild) of an ABAC Alumnus with a

Scholarship
Recipients of this scholarship are selected each year from student workers of the Extension University of Georgia
faculty located at the Rural Development Center (Tifton, Georgia Campus).

Annual Scholarship
Established by Benjie and Linda Godwin Baldree, this scholarship was created to provide financial support to
students of ABAC enrolled in the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources who demonstrate financial need.
Baldwin Woman's Club
Scholarship
Student must have completed one term of enrollment at ABAC with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Preference will be given to non-traditional students or dependents of ABAC employees
who do not receive financial aid.
O. V. Barkuloo Memorial
Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to entering freshman from either Tift County High School or Tiftarea Academy in Tifton,
Georgia. Recipients will have a history of active participation in 4-H and of academic achievement during their high school
years. Recipients must have a declared major in an agriculture-related field of study, family and consumer
sciences, or a pre-professional area of study.
Dolly W. Bearden Forestry
Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a Thomas County, Georgia resident enrolled in either the two-year or four-year transfer
forestry program. The recipient will be a rising sophomore who has completed 30 hours of academic work and

To qualify for this scholarship, student must be a worthy forestry major and demonstrate financial need.
Matt Bentley Endowed
Scholarship
Established in honor of ABAC Alumnus Matt Bentley by the Tucker Foundation, this scholarship gives preference to
students from the Cleveland/Bradley County MSA area and Chattanooga/Hamilton County MSA area of Tennessee.
Jean Bishop Stoufer Nursing
Scholarship
Freshmen and rising sophomores with a 2.5 or higher GPA majoring in nursing are eligible for this scholarship.
Preference will be given to students from Tift and contiguous counties.
Bostelman Family
Foundation Scholarship
Established by Fredrick and Sandra Bostelman, this scholarship provides funds to students enrolled in a bachelor degree program in the Stafford School of Business. Students must be upperclassmen enrolled full-time with a cumulative
2.5 GPA (which must be maintained to remain eligible to receive funds) and have demonstrated leadership in campus
activities at ABAC.
Rick Bostelman Agricultural Scholarship
Established to honor the life and work of Rick Bostelman (Class of 1966), this scholarship is awarded to ABAC students
who are upperclassmen, enrolled full time, with demonstrable leadership on campus. Candidates must have a 2.5 GPA (which must be maintained to continue eligibility for
funds) and preference is given to students enrolled in a bachelor degree in the School of Agriculture and Natural
Resources.
E. P. and Iliene Bowen, Jr. Memorial
Scholarship
In honor of Mr. and Mrs. William I. Bowen Sr., this scholarship is awarded to an entering freshman with a 2.5
GPA or rising sophomore with 20 semester hours along with a 2.5 GPA. This scholarship is available to full or part time

This scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in the Stafford School of Business.
J. Lamar Branch Memorial
Scholarship
The scholarship will be awarded to a student studying Ag Education, Forestry, or Home Economics, with preference
given to those with a strong FFA background. Student must be an entering freshman with a minimal 2.5 GPA or a rising
sophomore with 30 hours of academic work completed with a minimal 2.5 GPA.
Brightwell Horticulture Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a worthy student studying in the area of ornamental horticulture with a
minimum GPA of 2.0 and is actively involved in the Horticulture Club and other campus beautification projects.
Britt Memorial Scholarship
Recipients of this scholarship must show potential for success in their chosen major and have financial need. Preference

Created in memory of ABAC student Daren Brownlow, this scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the School of

Established by ABAC Alumnus John Bulloch, the requirements for this scholarship include minimum 3.0 GPA from high
school or 2.5 if transferring from another college and must be from the following counties: Thomas, Grady, Decatur,
Seminole, Miller, Early, Mitchell, Colquitt, Baker, or Brooks.

Company Scholarship
Preference in awarding this scholarship is given to the employees or to the dependents of the employees of Kelley Manufacturing, then to students from Tift County, Georgia and its contiguous counties. Recipients must have a record
of strong academic performance.
Eric W. Cash Memorial
Scholarship
Established by the family and friends of Dr. Eric W. Cash, this scholarship is awarded to students majoring in Journalism at ABAC with a minimum GPA of 3.0, with preference given to
First-Generation College Students. Students may continue to quality for the scholarship funds as long as the major and
GPA requirements are continually met. Essays are requested from each applicant.
Maria Guadalupe Cervantes Memorial
Scholarship
The recipient of this scholarship will be a Georgia resident of Hispanic descent who is not eligible for state or federal aid. Recipient may be an entering freshman with a GPA of 2.5 or higher (first preference) or a rising sophomore with a GPA of
2.0 or higher. All other factors being equal, students majoring in Education will be given preference.

This scholarship is awarded to an upperclassman (minimum 20+ semester hours) with a declared major in Agricultural and Industrial Equipment Technology and/or Agricultural

Dr. Pattie Garrett Clark
Memorial Scholarship for
Nursing
Established in memory of Dr. Pattie Garrett Clark, this scholarship is awarded upon recommendation of the faculty
of the ABAC School of Nursing and Health Sciences. Recipients must be enrolled in the bridge program
or in the second year of the Nursing Program at ABAC. Demonstrated academic achievement is required.
B. H. and Lanell Claxton
Scholarship
Recipients of this scholarship must be upperclassmen in the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Students
majoring in Agricultural Education will receive first consideration for award. Recipients must have a record of
consistent academic achievement along with recommendations from the faculty of the School of

Recipients must have a record of strong academic achievement and demonstrated leadership skills. Students
enrolled in any major program of study are eligible, but there is a preference to Family and Consumer Sciences majors.

This scholarship may be awarded to a student majoring in music desiring to study jazz who also participates in the
ABAC Jazz Ensemble. George D.

Rising freshman and sophomores with at least 24 credit hours who maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher are eligible for this
scholarship.

Annie Lou Connor Forestry
Scholarship
Available to a forest technology major with a history of
strong academic achievement, this scholarship is generally awarded to rising sophomores with 30+ semester hours, but entering freshman may be eligible if there are no qualifying
sophomores.
Wright and Joyce Crosby Scholarship
Established in memory of Wright and Joyce Crosby, this scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled full-time in the
School of Agriculture and Natural Resources. First preference is given to a student in the area of agricultural mechanics and
second preference to a student in the area of agricultural education.
Agnes Davis Donaldson Scholarship
Awarded to rising sophomores who have demonstrated outstanding academic success during their studies at ABAC,
residents of Tift County will be given first priority as recipients for this scholarship. Recipients must plan to
graduate from ABAC.

Davis, Jr. Nursing
Scholarship
Students awarded this scholarship must be an entering freshman Nursing major with a GPA of 2.5 or higher and a
graduate of Worth County High School.
Dr. J. Baldwin Davis
Scholarship
Established by the Faculty of the Division of Agriculture for Home Economics and Forestry in 1981, this scholarship is
awarded to a worthy student in the agriculture program at ABAC that has earned a 3.2 cumulative GPA at ABAC, has
attended ABAC for one or more semesters, is a rising sophomore and is of high moral character with leadership potential. College activity involvement and financial need
will also be considered for this scholarship.
Jay Deason Memorial
Scholarship
This scholarship was created to memorialize and honor the life of Jay Deason by providing scholarship to ABAC students who are upperclassmen with a full course load that have a
GPA of 2.5 or higher (which they must maintain). Preference may be given to students with declared education majors
that have demonstrated verifiable financial need.
Dennard Scholarship
Preference is given to students majoring in forestry and
possessing a strong academic record; students from Wilkinson County, Georgia will receive primary
consideration, then students from Wilcox and Ben Hill Counties in Georgia.
Holly Twitty Donaldson Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to current or entering students majoring in art, English, journalism, liberal arts, music, or speech drama who show academic excellence, high moral

The recipient of this scholarship will be a sophomore majoring in nursing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
who demonstrates superior clinical ability.
John Henry Dorminy
Scholarship
Awarded to students enrolled in their second year of study in the ABAC nursing program, recipients of this scholarship
must have earned a 3.0 GPA or higher and have demonstrated consistent academic excellence and above-average clinical ability. Selections of recipients are based upon recommendations of ABAC School of Nursing and
Health Sciences faculty who have worked with the applicants as freshmen. Preferential consideration will be given to
students with prior work experience as LPNs or who have financial need. To remain eligible for this scholarship each
semester the student must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA each semester.
2nd Lieutenant Harold Bascom
"Pinky" Durham, Jr. Scholarship
This scholarship fund was created as part of ABAC's veteran initiative to support veteran students attending ABAC.
Joy and Bob Dutton 4-H Endowed
Scholarship
Established by ABAC Alumni Joy and Bob Dutton, recipients of this scholarship must be full-time ABAC students who has
been involved in 4-H.
Eastman Scholarship
Freshmen and rising sophomores with a 2.5 or higher GPA are eligible for this scholarship.
Ernest Edwards Music
Scholarship
The recipient of this scholarship will be enrolled in the ABAC Music Program and audition before the music scholarship
committee. Along with demonstrated musical talent, student must have a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate leadership potential.
Frances P. Eidson
Honorary Scholarship
Established to honor Frances P. Eidson, this scholarship assists students pursuing degrees in either mathematics or
education at ABAC, this scholarship offers support to students demonstrating academic achievement in one of the
stated majors – including nontraditional students – and possessing a strong record of community service and/or
extracurricular involvement. Students must maintain full-time enrollment at ABAC at must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Scholarship
The scholarship will only be granted to agriculture students who have completed at least one year in his/her course of
study and who are in the top one-third of the class.
John Kimbrel English
Memorial Scholarship
In honor of John Kimbrel English, this scholarship will be awarded to a resident of Miller County, Georgia with
preference given to graduates of Miller County High School or South Georgia Academy, Damascus, Georgia.
Family and Consumer Sciences
Scholarship
Family and consumer science students demonstrating academic excellence are eligible for this scholarship.
Farm Credit Associations of
Georgia Scholarship
Created by the Farm Creidt Associations of Georgia, this scholarship is awarded to an ABAC student with a major in
agriculture.
FCCLA Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to an active member of GA FCCLA who participated in FACS coursework in high school and is now pursuing a degree in an area of Family and Consumer
Sciences.
FFA Officer Scholarship
This scholarship recognizes the special relationship between the FFA organization and ABAC, and is awarded to newly-enrolled ABAC students who are/were State FFA officers, or to returning ABAC students who are/were State FFA officers. All recipients must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA to receive the scholarship, and must maintain that GPA to continue to receive the scholarship funds.

FFA Welding Contest
Scholarship
Established by Robert and Judy Perry and Jimmy and Ann Grubbs, this scholarship provides funds for enrollment at ABAC to the overall individual winner of the South Region
FFA Weld Off for Region 5 and 6.
ABAC Foundation Scholarship
ABAC Foundation scholarships are awarded each spring to three of the top five honor graduates of the following
schools: Berrien County High School, Colquitt County High School, Cook County High School, Fitzgerald High School,
Irwin County High School, Tift County High School, Tiftarea Academy, Turner County High School, and Worth County
High School. Students receiving this scholarship must maintain a 3.0 GPA and keep at least a twelve-hour course
load each semester.
Elsie and Paul Gaines Applied
Music Scholarship
This scholarship provides support to students enrolled in applied piano, organ, or voice classes through payment of
related lab fees. Preference is to students enrolled in piano. Recipients must have completed 15 hours of
academic coursework while maintaining strong academic records.

Cooperative Council Annual
Scholarship
Created by the Georgia Cooperative Council, this scholarship is awarded to students in the School of Agriculture and
Natural Resources.
Georgia Forestry Association Scholarship
Funded by the Georgia Forestry Association, this scholarship
is awarded to a students enrolled as a forestry major at ABAC with a GPA of 2.75 or higher to receive and continue to
receive this scholarship. The student should represent the forestry profession with high standards of character,
personal integrity and professionalism.
Georgia Rural Caucus
Scholarship
Funded by the Georgia Rural Caucus, this scholarship is awarded to a student currently enrolled at ABAC from the southwestern part of the state of Georgia majoring in an
agricultural related course of study.
Marian Jones Girtman
Scholarship
Recipients of this scholarship are selected from students majoring in a visual arts program or in another area of the humanities and upon recommendation of the Dean of the
School of Arts & Science. Applicants must submit a portfolio of at least three (3) examples of their own unique works.
James Perry Gleaton
Scholarship
Employees or children of employees of Plant Telephone Company will be given priority to this scholarship, as long as
they maintain a 2.0 GPA and plan to graduate from ABAC.
Goizueta Foundation
Scholars Endowment
Scholarship recipients must be Hispanic/ Latino and have parents who reside in the United States of America. The
student may be an entering freshman with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and a minimum SAT score of 480 verbal and 400 math
or a rising sophomore with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Lane Green Wildlife
Management Scholarship
Established to honor Mr. Parker Poe and Mr. Lane Green for their work in conservation and wildlife management, this
scholarship is awarded to students who have completed 25+ semester hours and who are enrolled in the Wildlife Technology Program at ABAC. Recipients must have
consistently exhibited academic excellence in all coursework and are selected upon recommendation of the ABAC Wildlife
Technology faculty during the spring semester of each academic year.
Jimmy R. Grubbs
Scholarship
Awarded in honor of long-time ABAC staff member Jimmy Grubbs, this scholarship is awarded to students with a
declared AET or Agricultural Education major. This scholarship is supported by the ABAC Ag Alumni Council and
is awarded based in part upon recommendations of the faculty of the ABAC School of Agriculture and Natural

First preference for this scholarship will be given to students pursuing a major in education; second preference will be to

This scholarship is awarded to a qualified student who has demonstrated academic achievement with preference to those on the women's tennis team who are from south
Georgia. Recipients must participate in the ABAC Tennis Program and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Foresters - GA Division
Scholarship
Created by the Society of American Foresters - GA Division, this scholarship is awarded to Forestry majors with a GPA of
3.0 or higher who represent the forestry profession with high standards of character, personal integrity, and
professionalism. The recipient must be at least a sophomore if pursuing an associate's degree and at least a junior if
pursuing a bachelor's degree and must be a student member of the Society of American Foresters.
B.L. Southwell Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students majoring in an agriculture-related field or in Family and Consumer
Sciences. Students with agricultural majors in animal science will receive preference, and all recipients must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (and must maintain 2.0 minimum
cumulative GPA as well as be enrolled full-time to continue to receive the funds of the scholarship).
