Key Information
There are two School Direct training options:
• The School Direct Training Programme is for high-quality graduates who want to feel part of a school team whilst training. You’ll pay fees but may be eligible for a bursary of up to £20,000 or a scholarship of £25,000 to support you.
• The School Direct Training Programme (salaried) is an employment-based route for high-quality experienced graduates with at least three years’ work experience. You will earn a salary while you train.
For 2014 the main teaching placements are,
• Prince Henry’s High School - Maths• Droitwich Spa High School - English & Maths• Pershore High School - Physics & Maths• Evesham High School - Physical Education & Maths
Prince Henry’s High School is working in collaboration with Droitwich Spa High School, Pershore High School and Evesham High School to train teachers on the School Direct Programme (non-salaried)

• Look at the University of Worcester website and the profiles on UCAS for each training programme, which provide details on entry requirements.• Generally you should be a graduate, preferably with a 1st or a 2:1*• Experience of working with young people is an advantage. This does not need to be paid work but might be helping with a sports team, drama group or youth club.• We would like you to have done some observation in a classroom or you may even have worked in a school.• You will need at least a grade C in GCSE English and Maths.
* (we are willing to consider applicants who have a 2:2 who can demonstrate a real aptitude for teaching.)
