DensDen meetings are important because:
• Some requirements have to be done with the Den• Another adult who may have knowledge and skills
to complement your own• Interaction with their peers in a positive, goal-
oriented environment• Leadership and service
![Page 11: Scouting Advancement in the LDS Church](https://reader033.vdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022051818/54bb2feb4a7959b9178b45d3/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
Cub Scouting Tips• You MUST work on Cub Scouts at home if you want
your boy to earn badges and awards.– Even if your boy gets one thing signed off per den meeting,
he might not get the badge: (ex: wolf has 58 reqs)– Many of the reqs indicate that they should be done with
the family.
• Know what’s in the book – Many of your normal family activities will count for CS reqs
if you are aware of them.– If you know what is in the book, you can plan FHE or other
activities that will fulfill requirements.– Some activities are seasonal. Plan for this!
• Take advantage of summer or non-busy times
