Valentine MemoriesI am someone who strongly believes Valentine’s Day is for everyone, single, married, widowed, children, everyone. We are all blessed with at least one person to love, whether it be a parent, child, grandparent, spouse, friend or even a neighbor. Not to leave out pets! Yes, pets count!

So celebrate this special day with the person you chose, even if it is just yourself. You are incred-ibly special, so go buy yourself a card or better yet make yourself a card. Write a note to yourself about how special you are, and how important you are to others.

If you know of a special person that you would like to remember on Valentine’s Day. Send them a card, let them know you are thinking of them.

I chose to cook dinner at home instead of waiting for a table on Valentine’s Day. We did that one time only, waiting 2 hours for a table. Dinner at home is very special since that night.

So what are your Valentine Memories? My memories are of my parents, who made Val-entine’s Day special for us. We looked forward to that Valentine Card, candy, and sometimes a toy. Of course, the school valentines that we brought for all of our classmates are also a fond memory. It was special giving and receiving those fun little cards in the envelopes.

So how will you make your Valentine Memories for you and or your friends, children or grand-children?

Baking Valentine cookies together can be lots of fun. Making a Valentine gift for someone spe-cial will create a great memory for the recipient and for you also.

Mimi opened it and saw a box of cookies along with a note from Aunt Rose. Girl Scout Troop 127 sold the cookies to raise money. Rose bought several boxes from her neighbor’s girl, Susie. “What a cute idea. Girl Scout Cookies.” She opened the box and offered one to Ted. “Oh they’re shortbread, my favorite.”
