Dear Kate:
I received your name and address from my father-in-law, Dr. Joe Estock. Hetold me about the exciting Duke Dog project that you guys are going to produce next year.
I would really like to be involved and contribute in this way to JMU. Though I did not attend, it is a special place to my husband’s family, as you know, and therefore to me.
My background is graphic design, BFA Auburn University, and I have been inthe design and advertising business for many years. I will be happy to sendyou my resume or further examples of my work, but for now I have limited it tothe collage work that I have been producing for the last few years, and particu-larly the 3-D application, which seems most appropriate for your project.
The work enclosed was commissioned by Reebok last year to create a firstimpression for celebrity endorsement presentations; the goal being a contractwith the celebrity to become a Reebok endorser and more. The rest of thepresentation was contained inside these boxes. I have included a few pressreleases as well of positive outcome for my client.
The boxes themselves are collages of magazines, ephemera, stamps, hand-made papers, newspaper articles, and color. They are sealed against moistureand other contaminants. If you need more process info and are interested,please let me know.
