Afternoon YCDI Goal setting is important because it gives you a sense of purpose and can improve your confidence and self-esteem. It also helps them you to focus and make better decisions Your task is to set three goals you wish to focus on this term. 1 literacy (English), 1 numeracy (mathematics) and 1 personal goal. When designing your goals, you need to make sure they are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and reliable.
Art A person in a play, song, book, musical or movie is called a character. Think of your favourite song from the radio, a movie or musical. Listen to the lyrics and music of the song. Sing along with the recording. Answer the following questions: 1. Who are the main characters in the song? 2. What is happening to the characters? 3. How does the music influence the way we understand them? 4. How did the performers use the musical concepts to help us to understand the characters in the song? The musical concepts are:
- pitch (high and low sounds)
- dynamics (volume of sound)
- tone colour (quality of the sound produced such as gentle or harsh)
- structure (how a piece of music is constructed such as verse or chorus).
Geography Complete activities attached in the resources below labelled Geography. They can be completed either on the worksheet or in your workbooks. List as many Asian countries as you can without researching, research and mark if you're right. Complete the Venn diagram based on one Asian country.
Science Complete the worksheet attached on Earthquakes. This can be completed on your student portal or in your workbook.

Listen closely as you will be designing your own healthy food menu after watching! Use the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating poster to design a weekly menu for your family. You can create the menu in your workbook or using a device if you have access to one.
Think about the following questions before you get started:
• What meals do you usually eat?
• Are there meals that have sometimes foods and drinks?
• If so, what are healthier options that could replace them?
You can choose to plan for 1 meal per day or include breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's up to you!
