ST. MICHAEL Métropolitan 15 & SXHD 4300 O' Day Ave NE March 2007-September 2010. The IMAX has been replaced with an SXHD system. It closed when it owned $75,000 in back taxes to the city. This is an amazing new $13 million dollar cinema was designed by TK Architects of Kansas City. The lobby is designed as a Paris streetscape of the late 19th century. The name and the cinema’s logo come from the Metro in Paris, France. Buildings and balconies overlook the lobby. For people watchers, there is a bar (21 and over) on the second level where one can have a drink watch the crowd below. There is even a full scale replica of the Moulin Rouge. Yes, the windmill actually works, and lights up. Cinemagic owns this cinema.
