The most recent addition to this range of LED products is the new perimeter LED. Sony, grâce à son offre de caméras professionnelles, d’écrans LCD et de soluti-ons pour les régies de production, est à la pointe des solutions audiovisuelles dédiées aux stades. In addition to an earthquake-resistant steel construction, our installation also required air-conditioned casing, including heating. The air conditioning systems are monitored by the SX (TempControl) control module which was deve- loped in-house.

Sony and S[quadrat] designed and installed two SO (10/20) LED video displays. The displays are fitted with the S[quadrat] SX (Scoreboard TV) hardware and software to generate the content on both displays – in French of course. As a result, our football stadium content management system is now available in four languages (German, English, French and Italian).

Sony and S[quadrat] developed a curved casing for the Globe Arena advertising screen. With a view to making the system relatively easy to service, it was fitted on a steel rig which could be tipped forwards.

To entertain and inform guests wating for their flights in Zurich Airport we installed an advertising screen in a cut-out section made in the front side of the structure. In order to ensure an attractive yet safe transition between the screen and surrounding wall space, we complemented the screen with a black frame running around the entire length of the unit. The control system for the screen is found in the service room, located directly behind the screen.

Together with Sony Russia, we delivered three por-table, flexible and integrable S[quadrat] SI (4SMD) rental displays as background screens for studio setups at the TV studio in Ashgabat. These could be modularly stacked, moved and manipulated in just about any way imaginable, allowing flexible design with minimal effort. Providing the perfect backdrop for every scene.

The individual components of our multi-functional rental video modules can be combined as required. If the Arena Montpellier requires a large screen, then it is able to put together a display totalling 80 m² in surface area. You should be able to control your LED displays with ease. That’s why we developed the SX [Master] & SX [Drive] System. SX [Master] is the central image processor for LED systems from S[quadrat]. It takes the signals from digital or analogue image sources and processes the video files for the LED module controller SX [Drive]. The files

Not all displays are created equal. Interior systems face very different challenges than those used outdoors. The viewing angle is just one example to consider. For indoor displays, the viewing angle needs to be greater – both horizontally and vertically. To achieve this, the SMD „3 in 1“ LEDs used indoors only require a relatively low brightness of 1,500 to 3,000 cd / m².

Outdoor displays have to be tougher than your average display. They need to be able to withstand hailstorms, rain and sometimes even salt water. But the main challenge for outdoor displays is posed by sunlight. In order to catch the attention of its intended audience, our displays have brightness levels of 5,000 to 7,000 cd/m².

Small canopies also protect the LEDs from direct sunlight. In addition, our SX control system automatically regulates the brightness of the LEDs to their environment with the help of a specially designed brightness sensor.
