Teacher Survey Results
Favorite ThingsWhen asked what their favorite part about the media center at Alexander II, the teachers
surveyed said the many resources available for teachers use, flexible scheduling, and technology
support were their most favorite things.
The atmosphere, a comfortable and welcoming environment, is another favorite among not only
the teachers that were surveyed, but some parents who frequent the media center and volunteermany hours at the school.

Teacher Survey Results
Least Favorite Things
The negative responses were a bit more varied. Negative is not really the right word.
These responses only seem to reinforce the positive aspects of the overall media centerprogram. The most negative response was needing more space and books. Other than
that, one survey asked for more help for the media specialist because she couldaccomplish so much more. Other surveys asked for more time.

Accessibility
The Georgia Board of Education Rule 160-4-4-.01 requires that each school library media
center be accessible for both individual students and groups simultaneously throughout the instructional
day during each day of the school year. The library media center should have times before and/or after

Tribble Media Center is available for students 15 minutes before classes officially start inthe morning, and again for 30 minutes after school. The media center operates on a flexible
schedule. Tribble Media Center, the resources that it has to offer, are available to the students andfaculty as they are needed for instructional purposes.
Criteria for Allocation of Instructional Funds
Funds for the purchase of instructional media, materials, and equipment are allotted on a
per pupil basis as required by Board and Department of Education Policy. The final Tribble Media Center budget for this past year was $8673.00. This amount is
obtained by multiplying the FTE by the $15.31 (the state allotment per child.)
