ST ANTHONY OF PADUA PARISH
10 SUMMER STREET, COHASSET, MA
St. Anthony Parish Cohasset, MA
WELCOME! We are glad you are here to join us in worship in the celebration of the Eucharist (Mass). At the Eucharist, the Church
comes together to hear the Word of the Lord, to pray for the world’s needs, to offer the sacrifice of the Cross in praise and thanks to God,
to receive Christ Jesus in communion and then to be sent forth in the Spirit as disciples of the Gospel.
Father Scott’S thoughtS
With Father Will's arrival scheduled for July 1st, I wanted to share with you initial plans for our
schedules. Since Father Will was ordained in 2017 and is still in the relatively early years of
priestly ministry, it is important for us to spend time together. If we were to take different days off
during the week and serve different parishes on the weekend, we would be like ships passing in
the night. So, Father Will will be using Wednesdays and Thursdays for time away. After covering
Thursday morning Mass and any Thursday morning funerals, I will be using Thursdays and
Fridays for time away. The only time the parishes would be without a priest here is Thursday afternoons and
evenings until Father Will's return from time away.
Each of us will focus on one of the parishes each weekend. For example, Father Will will serve Saint Mary Parish
on July 4th and 5th while I serve Saint Anthony Parish. The following weekend we will switch, and so on. As with
all decisions like this, we will approach it with some flexibility and take time to review it after using it for three
months.
I am grateful to Denise Comeau and seminarians Colin McNabb and Paul Born for their efforts to establish new
social media accounts - Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Each parish already has a page on Facebook. The
establishment of a YouTube channel is particularly important to the process of installing more professional and
stable livestreaming in each church building. I need your assistance in promoting the use of the social media
communication tools. If you use these social media platforms, please like each parish's Facebook page, follow
"christbythesea" on Instagram and Twitter, and subscribe to the Christ by the Sea channel on YouTube. I need
your help in asking others to do the same. It is particularly important for us to reach 1,000 subscribers on
YouTube. With these social media platforms and the introduction of Flocknote, we are on our way to a robust,
unified, integrated communication plan to assist us in bringing Christ to others and others to Christ.

In Loving Memory
Please remember in your prayers Glen B. Hochkeppel who
went home to the Lord. May his soul and
the souls of all the faithful departed rest in
peace. Amen.
ACT of SPIRITUAL COMMUNION:
My Jesus, I believe that
You are truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to possess You within my soul.
Since I am unable now to receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as being already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You by sin.
Amen
From the Deacon’s Bench
Only one who truly loves is able to
forgive and forget. A person unable to
forgive has not yet known the fullness of
love. Only one who truly loves is able to
forgive and forget.

Prayer for Our Troops
Almighty God and Father, hold our
servicemen and women in your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us. Bless them
and their families for the selfless acts they
perform for us in our time of need. We ask
this in the name of Jesus, Our Lord and Savior.
Amen
