A Note from the Administrator...
.
P. Mike
Dear friends,
Queridos amigos,
Una nota del Administrador...
The world we were born into is in large respect the result of the work of many previous generations. People worked to give us what we have. Pope Francis is always reminding us that our work today should aim at bequeathing our descendants a world even better than what we received. For Catholics, work is more than just a way to make a living; it is a vocation. At its best … Work can be a setting for rich personal growth, playfulness, creativity, developing talents, expressing val-ues and forming great relationships with others. It takes commitment to create great workplaces; this is a priority for us. Labor Day is a good time to thank God for work, and ask for the sanctification of work. Mass that day (Monday, Sep-tember 4 at 9am) will be bilingual and conclude with a special blessing of hands.
Peace, All Good! Fr. Mike

The Alpha Course
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore the basics of the Christian faith. It is a parish tool for evangelization based on welcome and hospitality, sharing and pray-
er. Each session includes a meal, a talk and small group discussion, where no ques-
tion is too simple and no answer is pre-packaged.
Catholics say about Alpha:
“Alpha helps you to actually get in touch with peo-ple who have not met Jesus Christ yet- to eat with them, pray with them, teach them and mostly, to
list to them.”
Maximilian Oettingen Loretto community
Our next session will start on: September 6th, 2017
Please don't forget to get your raffle tickets for a chance to win a new Chevy Colorado! The proceeds will be going to the parish and school . A portion of the profits, as well, will

Our Youth Ministry Program includes classroom activities as well as social and service
opportunities. Throughout the year there are times when donations from our parish community would be a tremendous help. As always, our number one wish is your presence with our young church and your continued prayers for our teens and those who minister to
them. Your time, talent, and willingness to share your faith are priceless. You are our greatest resource. In addition we have our Youth Ministry Wish List. If you would like to
donate any of these items, no matter how big or how small, please drop them off at the Faith Formation Office with a note “YM donation.”

Thank you!
