1Cut a long length of beading thread.
Attach a needle to one end and a stop
bead 4 in. (10cm) from the other end. Pick
up a 4mm bicone crystal, a SuperDuo, a
chaton through the left hole, a SuperDuo,
and a crystal (figure 1, a–b, green). Pick up
a 150 seed bead and a SuperDuo, and a
repeating pattern of two 150s and a
SuperDuo four times. Pick up a 150 (b–c,
orange). Pick up a SuperDuo, a 150, a
SuperDuo, two 150s, a SuperDuo, a 150,
and a SuperDuo (c–d, purple). Repeat b–c.
Sew through the first crystal and SuperDuo
picked up, forming a large ring of beads.
Change direction and sew through the
second hole of this SuperDuo (d–e, red).
2This step follows the inside of the ring.
Pick up a 150 and sew through the
empty hole of the next SuperDuo. Pick up a
150 and sew through the empty hole of the
next three SuperDuos (figure 2, a–b,
green). Pick up a 150 and sew through the
available hole of the next SuperDuo, six times
(b–c, blue). Pick up a 150 and sew through
the empty hole of the next three SuperDuos.
Pick up a 150 and sew through the empty
hole of the next SuperDuo, two times (c–d,
red). Pick up three 150s, a crystal, and three
150s, and sew through the innermost hole of
the next SuperDuo. You should now be back
at point a (d–e, purple). Change direction
and sew through the other hole of this
SuperDuo, the chaton, the next SuperDuo,
and the crystal, following the existing thread
path (e–f, orange).
3Pick up a 150 and a SuperDuo, and a
repeating pattern of two 150s and a
SuperDuo four times. Pick up a 150 (figure

crystal that is above the chaton in the first
oval shape. Pick up a SuperDuo, and sew
through the available hole of the chaton. Pick
up a SuperDuo, and sew through the
following crystal, ending back at point a
(d–e, red). Sew through the beadwork,
following the existing thread path, until the
needle exits the SuperDuo between the first
crystal and the chaton picked up in this step.
Change direction and sew through the
available hole of this SuperDuo (e–f,
orange).
4Working along the inner edge of the new
ring, pick up a 150 and sew through the
available hole of the next SuperDuo. Pick up
a 150 and sew through the available holes of
the next three SuperDuos. Pick up a 150 and
sew through the unused hole of the next
SuperDuo, twice. Pick up three 150s, a
crystal, and three 150s, skip the chaton, and
sew through the available hole of the
following SuperDuo (figure 4, a–b, blue).
Repeat a–b around the inside edge of the
ring, ending back at point a (b–c, purple).
Change direction and sew through the
second hole of this SuperDuo, the chaton,
the next SuperDuo, and the crystal, following
the existing thread path (c–d, green).
5Repeat steps 3 and 4 until a total of nine
chatons have been used. Make the tenth
oval like the first, without a chaton along the
outer edge, repeating the bead sequence of
steps 1 and 2.
6Attach the three rings of the clasp to the
three spaces in the middle of the first and
last rings on the bracelet with jump rings
(figure 5). Ensure that the domed ends of
the clasp face opposite directions.
tip>>Keep your working tension snug but not too tight or the bicones may cut the thread.
