Founded in New York in 1959, the AESC was established to help guide the development and standards of a professional service which was then
still relatively new. An offshoot of management consulting, retained executive search has, over the past 50 years, played a major role in the
identification and recruitment of senior executive talent for many different organizations in a wide variety of industries and countries. The
success of executive search is such that the profession has grown to become a global industry with revenues in excess of $10 billion.
The AESC promotes the highest professional standards in executive search through its industry-recognized Code of Ethics and Professional
Practice Guidelines. The AESC also serves to broaden public understanding of the executive recruitment process and acts as an advocate for the

Hemen has thirty years of rich experience with India’s largest engineering company, Larsen & Toubro Limited. During this period, he held several senior
profit centre head responsibilities and other leadership roles in HRD, Manufacturing, Exports and Strategic Planning. His last responsibility at Larsen &
Toubro Limited was General Manager, Planning & Development and Exports. In 1990, Hemen along with his son Nirmit founded 3P Consultants and
continued to hold executive responsibility until 1997. He has successfully completed many assignments at the CXO level across diverse industry sectors.
Hemen has a post-graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas, USA (1958). He has served as a member of Managing
Councils of several engineering colleges and has represented Larsen & Toubro Limited on several professional bodies.

Often cited as a pioneer in retained executive search, Nirmit’ s over two decades experience in executive search has predominantly been cross border
in nature. Nirmit has successfully identified leaders for large Indian groups, multinational conglomerates and start–up ventures who in turn have
created multibillion dollar enterprises.
An Engineer, he has been trained internationally in the latest methodologies of retained executive search. Nirmit has played an active leadership role
for the Indian recruitment industry. He was one of the founders of the Executive Recruiters Association and assumed responsibility as its Vice Chairman
and then Chairman of its Ethics Committee. In 2007, Nirmit was elected as Chairman of Penrhyn International which he successfully served for two
consecutive years.
He has also served on the Global Board of Directors of the Association of Executive Search Consultants and continues on its Asia Pacific Board. A strong
advocate of entrepreneurship, Nirmit served on the Board of Trustees for The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE). His accolades include being awarded the
Chairman’s Award for Penrhyn International for outstanding contribution to the Global Network and has featured in The Economist edition of “The

Christopher Mill founded Christopher Mill & Partners in 1977 to provide cross-border executive search to international companies. He was also co-
founder in 1979 of Penrhyn International and acted as its Chairman for many years. For a number of years Christopher was a member of the Board of
Directors of the Association of Executive Search Consultants Inc., the principal industry organisation, and was Chairman of its International Committee.
In 1988 he was given the Gardner Heidrick Award for outstanding contribution to the profession.
Before starting in executive search he held international management roles with Honeywell and Memorex Corporation. At various times he held
responsibility for activities in the UK, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland as well as European regional responsibilities. He has
been a director or advisory board member of early stage software companies. Christopher has a Master’s degree from London Business School.
