DAY 1: Monday 04 June Depart AdelaideDepart Adelaide today on your Singapore Air flight to Cairo.

DAY 2: Tuesday 05 June Arrival in CairoArrive into Cairo this afternoon. You will be assisted through passport and customs formalities and met by your guide. Transfer to your hotel for check in. Those who are keen, will meet in the lobby before boarding your Nile cruise at 8pm to enjoy a dinner and folkloric show on board. Transfer back to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 3: Wednesday 06 JuneCairo - SinaiAfter breakfast, we’ll set out to explore Egypt’s desert antiquities dating from the beginnings of a civilization that arose more than 5,000 years ago. In the company of our specialist Egyptologist guide, we venture through the country-side to visit some of Egypt's oldest sights. First, we visit the Pyramids of Giza. Next, we visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops. We shall also visit the colossal statue of the Great Sphinx, which has stood guard over the pyramids for more than 4,500 years. Carved from an outcrop of rock, the Sphinx remains the ultimate symbol of Ancient Egypt with its lion’s body and human head. The history and the lifestyle of ancient Egyptian pharaohs come alive before our eyes through the skilled narrations of our specialist guide. Then we go with our Egyptologist to visit the Museum of Antiquities in Cairo. The museum houses the greatest collection of pharaonic treasures in the world. Our guide will show us the highlights of these artifacts, including the Tutankhamen Collection of golden treasures and acquaint us with the museum’s expansive collections. After touring, we will be transferred to ST. CATHERINES, which is located on the Sinai Peninsula (about a 6 hour drive). Upon arrival, check into your hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: Thursday 07 June Sinai - AqabaWe have an early start this morning in order to climb Mt Sinai and see St Catharine’s Monastery. Drive to Nuweiba to catch the hydrofoil across the Red Sea and to Aqaba for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: Friday 08 JuneAqaba – Wadi Ram - PetraEnjoy a 4WD Jeep experience in Wadi Ram as you relive “Lawrence of Arabia”. Continue to Petra for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: Saturday 09 June PetraEnjoy a full day of Petra sightseeing. Enter the narrow canyon (Ciq) on horseback and be amazed by the impressive Treasury of Petra, carved into the red rock. Explore the amphitheatre, monastery and many other sites before returning to your hotel in Petra for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: Sunday 10 June Petra – AmmanDrive North along Kings Highway. Visit Madaba, Mt Nebo, Kerak. Overnight in Amman

DAY 8: Monday 11 JuneAmman – Jerash - TiberiasAmman sightseeing including: amphitheatre, citadel & archaeological museum (includes Copper Scroll) Um Qais (= Gadara). Afternoon visit to Jerash

and Pella (time permitting). Cross King Hussein Border into Israel and proceed to Tiberias for overnight. DAY 9: Tuesday 12 JuneCapernaum, Tabgha, Mt. Beatitudes, Kursi, TiberiasDrive to the Igal Alon Center at Nof Ginosar to view the ancient 1st century fishing boat recently found on the shores of the Galilee. Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Continue to Capernaum, the home base of Jesus' Galilean Ministry, we will visit an ancient synagogue and Peter's Home. Then we travel on to Tabgha, the site of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Continue to the Mount of the Beatitudes. Continue to Kursi on the Eastern side of Lake Galilee. Dinner and overnight is at our hotel in Tiberias.

DAY 10: Wednesday 13 JuneTel Dan, Caesarea Philippi, Korazim, Beth SaidaThis morning we journey to the Tel Dan National park and after to the headwa-ters of the Jordan River at Caesarea Philippi and travel through the Golan Heights. We will also visit Korazim and Beit Saida. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight in Tiberias

DAY 11: Thursday 14 June Sepphoris, Megiddo, Mt Carmel, Caesarea, TiberiasAfter breakfast we drive to Sepphoris (Zippori) to ses one of the most beautiful mosaics in the land, known as the Mona Lisa of the Galilee. Continue onto Megiddo and Mt Carmel (Muchrakah). Continue to visit Caesarea by the Mediterranean. Return for dinner and overnight to your hotel in Tiberias.

DAY 12: Friday 15 JuneNazareth, Cana, Bet Alpha, Jericho, Qazer-El-Yehud, Jerusalem Start our day visiting Nazareth: the Church of the Annunciation and Synagogue Church. Enjoy visit also to Nazareth Village. Drive onto the village of Cana, where Jesus’ first Miracle at the Wedding was performed. Continue to Beit Alpha to see the lovely Zodiac. On the way to Jerusalem we will visit Jericho, considered the oldest city of the world. We also visit Qasr El Yahud, the Baptismal site. Our journey continues as we ascend to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight is at our hotel in Jerusalem.

DAY 13: Saturday 16 June Jerusalem, Mt. Olives, Via Dolorosa, Herodion, BethlehemOur day begins with a panoramic view of the Old City at the Mt. of Olives. We walk to the Gardens of Gethsemane. Into to the Christian Quarter to explore the Via Dolorosa (incl. Pools of Bethesda) ending at the Holy Sepulchre. Drive to the Herodion, believed to be where Herod is now buried. We continue to Bethlehem and visit The Church of Nativity and the Shepherd’s Fields.Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight at our hotel in Jerusalem.

DAY 13: Sunday 17 JuneTower of David, Mt. Zion, Temple Mount, Davidson CenterStart our day visiting the Tower of David museum. Continue to Mt. Zion and

A key task of Biblical Studies is placing Jesus of Nazareth into his many contexts - historical, social, political, religious, and geographical. Under the leadership of Dr Spence, whose exper-tise is in NT studies, and Rev Cousins, whose expertise is in OT studies, and with the assistance of local guides, this study tour will help you place Jesus' words and deeds into their living context. Students will see many key biblical sites including Mt Sinai, Capernaum, Nazareth, the Mount of Olives and the City of David. This will be a special part of any student's educational journey. Those who are enrolled in a degree program will have access to FEE-HELP for the full cost of this study tour.

DAY 15: Monday 18 JuneGarden Tomb, City of David, Israel museum Our day starts with a visit to the Garden Tomb. Continue to visit the City of David and enjoy an interesting walk to the Siloam Pools and Hezekiah’s Tunnels. Drive to the New City of Jerusalem to see the Israel Museum and Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are exhibited. Include model of Jerusalem. Travel back to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 16: Tuesday 19 JuneQumran, Dead Sea, Masada, Tel AradToday we drive to the Dead Sea area. Our first stop is Qumran: the caves where

the Dead Sea scrolls were found. Very short time for swim & float in the Dead Sea. View Ein Gedi from the bus Continue to visit the fortress mountain, Masada. Ascend the mountain by cable car and survey where the Jewish zealots made their last stand against the Roman 10th Legion after the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. Descend walking the Roman ramp and drive to visit Tel Arad. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 17: Wednesday 20 JuneDeparture Transfer to Allenby bridge to cross to Jordan. Transfer from Arava border to Amman Airport for departure.

DAY 18: Thursday 21 JuneArrive AustraliaArrive back to Australia with wonderful memories of a wonderful trip!
