An EPD® is an CERTIFIED ENVIRONMENTAL DECLARATION
The International EPD® System has the ambition to help and support organizations to communicate the environmental performance of
their products (goods and services) in a credible and understandable way
members consist of (TC) group of LCA/EPD experts
Standard ISO 14025
EPD® is a registered trademark
EPD® is sometimes used as an abbreviation for environmental declarations according to ISO 14025 in general but sometimes also for other types of environmental information.
What about?
The company implements
PCR (Product Category Rules) are vital for the concept of environmental declarations
and climate declarations
The PCRs enable transparency for the EPD-development and also comparability between different EPDs based on
the same PCR

PRODUCT CATEGORY RULES
BASIC MODULE
PCR Basic Modules are used as guidance documents when
developing PCRs.
This is a combined PCR and PCR Basic Module: it is partly based on thedraft European standard prEN 15804 that provides Product Category Rules for all construction products (“Sustainability of construction works - Environmental product declarations - Product category rules” )
A revision of the document is already planned for 2012 in order to comply with the upcoming EN 15804 standards.
PCR Basic Modules includes text which is common for all full PCR documents regardless of product group, e.g. the introduction section, but does not specify the detailed calculation rules that are required in order for EPDs of the same product group to be comparable.
Constructions and construction services
bulk PCR-document(general documents)
Actually evaluating analysis for applicability of labelling scheme demonstrate that Ecoplasbrick panel can not be compared to existing Product Categories and Product Groups
The applicability of the EU Eco-label (Type I), evaluating existing Product Group “Hard Covering” and “Woodwork”, is denied by comparing timber cladding and cooked products with a sandwich panel made of a core of mixed recycled plastic waste, welded through temperature and pressure with one or two skins; therefore Criteria, tests and limit values can not be assessed in order to comply with environmental requirements.
The applicability of the EPDsystem (Type III), evaluating existing Product Categories Wood”, “Plastic products” and “Construction products and services” could be assessed even if we have to wait for the PCRs documents, actually under development.
