Welcome to ZST Mielec
On the first day of the visit the participants were kindly welcomed to Zepół Szkół Technicznych
by the headmaster Mariusz Wojciechowski.
Visiting the school
Visiting the school was very excited. The school facilities made a big impression. Visiting sports
halls and fitness gyms was the opportunity to feel again like a student. Flying a plane using the
flight simulator was the best attraction. While visiting the school the participants of TPM could
also see the ICT labs, new gastronomy labs and many other classrooms.
Multiplier Event
Later that day we all took part in the multiplier event of intellectual outputs of the Erasmus +
project. We learnt how important the Erasmus+ projects are for both students and teachers.
During the event there were various workshops about CLIL method of teaching, safety rules or
learning in the future. We also listened to the lecture titled "What is happiness?" by Ph.D Marek
Paduch.
Visiting Auschwitz- Birkenau Museum
Arbeit macht frei - work will make you free - these words welcomed everybody entering the
Camp. Visiting Nazi Concentration Camp in Auschwitz always makes us think how people could
have been so cruel to each other during World War II. Every nation experienced violence and
brutality during that horrible time. We do not want it to happen again. It was a really emotional
visit.
Visiting Cracow
On the way back from Auschwitz Museum we went to Cracow, we saw the main attractions of
the city. The most significant architectural structures are the defence walls of the Wawel Castle,
the Barbakan, Florian Gate, the Wawel Castle complex with the Wawel Dragon and the
Sigismund's Chapel and its cathedral, St. Mary's Basilica, with the altar by Veit Stoss and the
renaissance Cloth Hall (Sukiennice).

English Language Gala
Although working on the project took a lot of time, the participants of the TPM had a chance to
take part in the 8th English Language Gala. It is the yearly competition between the teams from
Mielec schools. First, they observed students’ competition and then they talked about their
schools in Estonia, Greece and Romania. Finally the students had the opportunity to ask them
questions and check their practical knowledge of English.
The three days of Transnational Project Meeting were short but really intensive, full of hard
work, kind meetings, workshops, attractions, pleasant atmosphere and visiting a bit of Poland.
We managed to achieve the set goals and finish the meeting full of new ideas and eager to work
even harder looking forward to the next meeting in Greece together with the students.
