Vision and Plans 2017-2018
Thank you all for demonstrating your
confidence in me by electing me State
Master Councilor. I will strive to be
the best I can be. My vision and plans
for the year are simple: Focus on
membership. We have an amazing
organization, let's share it with our
friends. Sprinkling in smaller
Brotherhood Events into our calendar
that can be used as prospect parties for
the chapters. Rewarding top recruiters
throughout the state with crazy
awesome prizes. Also, adding a Priory
event for membership retention. Let's
make it a great year!

Conclave Wrap Up
I hope everyone is now rested up from
Iowa DeMolay Conclave 2017. We had
a very busy weekend starting at
Adventureland early on Friday
morning. Friday night we watched The
Sandlot at Za-Ga-Zig where we re-
turned Saturday morning to play
Knockerball. We finished up Saturday
with a ritual competition, Initiation,
and the State Master Councilor’s
Banquet. Sunday was full of Public
Ceremonies for our newest Chevaliers,
Legionnaires, and State Officers!

New Executive Officer of Minnesota DeMolay
At the Minnesota DeMolay Conclave this past
weekend, “Dad” Aaron Brendel was made their
new Executive Officer! He is a Senior DeMolay
from Black Hawk Chapter in Cedar Falls. We say
“DeMolay creates leaders” here is a perfect
example. Congratulations to “Dad” Brendel as he
takes Minnesota DeMolay to new heights!
What DeMolay has Taught me
DeMolay has taught me so much in five years! It taught how to speak in front of people with confidence.
My Chapter Advisor, "Dad" Hodgini, got me prepared for my first job interview. DeMolay has taught me
the true meaning of the word comradeship. Never in my life would I have dreamed I would have this
many people that I can call on. It is a wonderful feeling! Most importantly, DeMolay taught me how to
keep a schedule for myself. I am, usually, able to balance school, work, and DeMolay successfully.
