Page 1: The Last Peek Through My Eyes

The last peek through my eyes

By: Judy Ann M. Cocadiz

I can’t believe how time flies too fastNow it’s almost time to go

I am never ready for a moment like this to be castAnd yet, we looked forward to another year filled with craziness and jokes

But then, all good things eventually last.

It’s been three years struggling in our feetWith fun, excitement, boredom, happiness and all kind emotions

Time to get through the last months we have to beatIt goes by fast, and before we know it, we stand before our reflection

Wearing the white dress, we are soon destined.

However, we still have to face the same old loud and early alarmsConstantly sleeping soundly in the bathroom

Endure the stressing last minute morning crams‘Coz if we’re not finished yet, we sure are doomed.

Though, when I reach school, all I see is a family built in its arms.

The friendship that we’ve madeThe great times we had shared

The splendour of the bond that’s never gonna fadeWill live on forever, ‘cause although knowledge is what we came to earn

Without them, Scihigh isn’t a school, I’m afraid.

Whatever long road we each takeNo matter what may come ‘till we no longer exist

SPCSHS will always, and forever be the hub of excellence we did makeWhere we and our teachers meet to achieve the dreams concealed in the mist

Of this Kaleidoscope of exploration and education at stake.

The beautiful moments are sinkingWe come into different universities, in quest of better future

Tears fall deep with all the precious gifts we’re keepingMy last day of school . . . oh how high school has made us all mature

Crashing down on our trance, that time wouldn’t wait, for us to fulfil our dreams

Nonetheless, its memories are immortalAnd the images of fun I’ve had, forever linger in my heart

Even if in life, I will soon move on and travel my own portalThe values instilled in me, and the wisdom it imparts

SPC Science High School will always make me want to come back to school. We are eternally grateful, our dear alma mater.
