To Our North and Central Texas Alumni and Friends
The North and Central Texas Scholarship Challenge is intended to encourage new, increased, and multi-year commitments for
annual scholarships by alumni, parents, and friends of Washington University who reside in the greater North and Central Texas area.
We are grateful to Steven Cash Nickerson, JD’85, MBA’93, for establishing a $100,000 challenge to inspire alumni to increase their support for annual scholarships and fellowships. This generous challenge supports the Annual Fund, a vital part of Leading Together: The Campaign for Washington University.
Today, nearly 60 percent of undergraduates and even higher numbers of graduate and professional students need some form of financial assistance to attend Washington University. The university is committed to offering talented men and women from all backgrounds the opportunity to fulfill their potential in every field of endeavor.
Please participate in the North and Central Texas Scholarship Challenge today. Your gift is an investment in our students and the future of our society. Every gift matters — and every donor counts.
Sincerely,
Dr. Robert L. Virgil, MBA’60 DBA’67Chair, Scholarships & FellowshipsLeading Together: The Campaign for Washington University
