It is short form for Members of Parliament who the House of
Commons consists of. MPs are elected at a general election or at a
by-election.

The British Parliament consists of the House of Lords and the House of Commons and the
Queen as its head. A new bill is introduced and debated in the House of Commons. Then a bill goes to the House of Lords to be debated.
Finally the monarch signs it. Only then it becomes law. Parliamentary elections must be
held every five years. People can vote at the age of 18.

The party which has majority of seats in the House of Commons is called the Government. The
Prime Minister chooses about 20 MPs from hi or her party to
become the Cabinet of Ministers. Each minister is responsible for
a particular area of the government.

within five years between parliamentary
