“Can I just report my MDL?”
· Report the calculated result and total uncertainty
“Can I report a less than value?”
· No, non-numeric results are not allowed
“What if I’m contractually obligated to use a specific procedure?”
· The laboratory is responsible to ensure the procedure they use produces accurate results

Performance Evaluation of Sr-89/90 in Series 31 Air filter
Many requests for performance testing of fresh fission products· Renewed interest since Fukushima· Sr89/90, I-131, Zr-95/Nb-95, etc.
Twenty-three laboratories request the Sr-89/90 Air Filter· 12 requested Sr-89 out of 32 who routinely analyze Sr-90· 11 who don’t report Sr-90, requested SrF31
Do all 32 labs have analytical capability in Sr-89?
Is there a continued interest in Sr-89/90 or other fresh fission products determinations?
