The Water Cycle (Kidzone Science, 2014)
There are four phases of the water cycle.
1. Evaporation
2. Condensation
3. Precipitation
4. Collection

Evaporation
Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers, lakes, or oceans and turns it into vapor or
steam. The water vapor or steam leaves the river, lake, or ocean and goes into the air.

Condensation
Water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming clouds.
![Page 6: The Water Cycle: English and Spanish](https://reader033.vdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022052909/559780851a28ab1e218b4774/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)

Precipitation
Precipitation occurs when so much water has condensed that the air can hold it anymore. The
clouds get heavy and water falls back to the earth in the form of rain, hail, sleet, or snow.

Collection
When water falls back to earth as precipitation, it may fall back in the oceans, lakes, rivers or on land. When it ends up on land, it will either soak in to the Earth and become part of the “Ground Water” that plants and animals use to drink or it may run over the soil and collect in the oceans, lakes, or rivers
where the cycle starts over again.

The cycle begins again.

El ciclo del agua (Kidzone Science, 2014)
Hay cuatro fases del ciclo del agua.
1. Evaporación
2. Condensación
3. Precipitación
4. Recogida

granizo, aguanieve o nieve.
![Page 20: The Water Cycle: English and Spanish](https://reader033.vdocuments.net/reader033/viewer/2022052909/559780851a28ab1e218b4774/html5/thumbnails/20.jpg)

Recogida
