SCHOOL NEWS
URGENT CAR RIDER
REMINDERS
Before the Christmas holiday there was a morning incident when 2 students exited their car from the left side, while a car pulled out of line to the left around stopped cars. Both actions are prohibited for the protection of students.
For the safety of all, students are to enter/exit the car from the right, passenger side only.
Drivers are to remain in a single-file line at all times and are NOT to pull to the left of stopped cars at any time. Wait your turn.
For efficient drop off for all, the front car is to pull forward to the stop sign. PLEASE do not stop at the steps if there is still space to pull forward. If, after pulling all the way forward, you are between the 2 yellow cones, children should exit the car from the right. Then the next group of cars should pull all the way forward and repeat. If everyone adheres to this plan, we can unload 8 cars at a time and make drop off move quickly and safely for all.
The building opens for students at 8:05am.
Staff members will be at the car circle until 8:25am.
If you arrive AFTER 8:25am, or do not see teachers at the top of the stairs, students should be driven to the front door and signed in to receive a late slip. This INCLUDES students whose classrooms are in the mods.
Parents (and younger siblings & pets) are reminded to remain in the vehicle at all times while in car line. If your child has a bulky item (s)he cannot handle alone, please park in a marked stall and walk your child to the office. We will help get the item to the classroom.
BOOK FAIR
It is almost time for the annual MMR Scholastic
Book Fair. The fair will run Sunday, January
26 through Friday, January 31 in the modular
rooms 302 and 303. Be on the lookout, as the
Sign Up Genius volunteer link will be in these
weekly notes soon.
CAN YOU HELP?
Our art teacher, Mr. Devery is asking for your
help to send in recycled items that he can use
for his art classes. At this time, he is
specifically looking for:
- Empty egg cartons
- Popsicle sticks
- Straws
Please drop off any of these items to the
school office. Thank you!
Grade 7 THANKS YOU
The 7th grade Confirmation Class would like to
thank everyone for the support during our
recent candy gram sale. The MMR
community was so generous and supportive of
this project. We raised over $1600 for our
service project organization, Building a Bridge
to Uganda.
Hope for the Future
