Are you creative?

Do you like to solve problems?

Do you love making music?Check out the sessions available on the following page which ones interest you? Which ones make you excited?

Talk to your parents, Norta Norta tutors, AEOs and teachers about coming to Nanga Mai, they can help you on your path and advise you on which sessions might be best for you.Nanga Mai means ‘to dream’ in Gadigal language. And that’s exactly what we want Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from years 10, 11 and 12 to do at UTS.

Nanga Mai has been specifically developed to give Indigenous students from across NSW a taste of what life is like at UTS and to allow them to dream big about their future.

It’s not only for the academically elite, but for everyone who wants to learn more about what university can offer. If they’ve ever thought about doing more after high school this is their chance to check it out.

Students can enrol in two different workshops in their faculty of choice. (Think magic tricks, animation, and hands-on-nursing), meet UTS’s current Indigenous students and hear about their experiences at uni, gain information about getting into uni and enjoy lunch and get to meet.

And the best bit is it’s free!

Teachers, parents or other mentors will be responsible for booking student groups or individuals into the program.

Students in years 11 or 12 don’t have to be accompanied by a teacher to attend.
