USER MANNUAL
1.1 Prerequisites
Android Smartphone having minimum specifications laid down for Merchant pay- payment application.
Android Mobile with USB Host support.
USB Finger-Print Scanner (In the empanelled list of scanners tested with application).
Working internet connection.
Registered Merchant ID or Aadhaar number.
1.2 How to access Merchant Pay Payment App
1.2.1 Downloading the App
Merchants can download the BHIM AADHAAR OBC app from Google play store
Once application is downloaded, the application can be installed.
Once application is installed successfully, BHIM AADHAAR OBC app will be available in his/her Smartphone.
1.3 Getting started with Merchant Pay-Payment App
1.3.1 Device Verification
As a first time user of BHIM AADHAAR OBC app, merchant has to complete the device
verification process .Following are the steps to be followed by the Merchant for device
verification.
Step 1: Click on the BHIM AADHAAR OBC app icon on your Smartphone to launch the
application.
Step 2: Enter your mobile number.
Step 3: Click on Proceed button. An OTP will be sent to the entered mobile number.
Step 4: Enter the OTP sent to mobile number under the text-box ‘Your OTP’. In case if you do
not receive OTP, click on ‘Regenerate OTP button’ to resend the OTP to the entered mobile
number.
Step 5: Enter Nick Name of Device under the text-box ‘Nick name of Device’.
Step 6: Click on Proceed button. The OTP will be validated. Once the OTP validation is
success, merchant login screen will be displayed.
1.3.2 Login- First time Login
This section explains how to login to BHIM AADHAAR OBC app.
Step 1: Enter your Aadhaar Number. You can also scan the Aadhaar Number from QR code
available on your Aadhaar card.
Step 2 : To scan from QR code, focus the rear Smartphone Camera over the QR code
available on the Aadhaar Card ,till Aadhaar Number is pre-populated.
Step 3: Click on Proceed button. Select your Merchant ID and click on OK button. Application
will redirect to ‘Set your MPIN’ screen.
Step 4: You can set the MPIN for the application on the Set your MPIN screen. Enter 4 digit
MPIN on the ‘Enter new 4 –digit MPIN ‘ text-box. Enter the same MPIN on ‘Confirm MPIN’
text-box and click on Proceed button.
Step 5: Connect the fingerprint scanner to the micro-USB port .Click on ‘Agree and Scan’
button and place your finger on the attached fingerprint scanner.
Step 6: Upon successful fingerprint authentication, you will be logged in to the application.
1.3.3 Existing Merchants-How to Login using MPIN
If you are a registered user of Aadhaar Pay, you can continue to login to the BHIM AADHAAR OBC app Follow the steps below to login to the application. Step 1: Click on the Aadhaar Pay application icon on the Smart phone to launch the
application.
Step 2: If you are a registered user of Aadhaar Pay, You can select your merchant id from the
merchant login screen.
Step 3: Select your merchant id from the drop down.
Step 4: Click on Proceed button to navigate to MPIN screen.
Step 5: Application will show the selected merchant id in the screen.
Step 5: Enter the four digit MPIN which you have already set.
Step 6: Click on Login button to navigate to My Store Screen and you can do transactions.
1.3.4 How to reset MPIN when you forget
This explains how to set MPIN when you forget it. Step 1: Click on the Aadhaar Pay application icon on the Smart phone to launch the
application.
Step 2: If you are a registered user of Aadhaar Pay, You can select your merchant id
from the merchant login screen.
Step 3: Select your merchant id from the drop down.
Step 4: Click on Proceed button to navigate to MPIN screen.
Step 5: Click on Forgot MPIN to navigate to Reset your MPIN.
Step 6: You can reset the MPIN for the application on the Reset your MPIN screen.
Enter 4 digit MPIN on the ‘Enter new 4 –digit MPIN ‘ text-box. Enter the same MPIN on
‘Confirm MPIN’ text-box and click on Proceed button.
Step 7:Connect the fingerprint scanner to the micro-USB port .Click on ‘Agree and
Scan’ button and place your finger on the attached fingerprint scanner.
Step 8:Upon successful fingerprint authentication, you will be logged in to the
application.
1.3.5 How to do Payments
Payment through aadhaar
Step 1: After successful login ,My Store screen will be displayed. Select the
transaction tab on My Store screen.
Step 2: Enter the payment amount.
Step 3: Click on Proceed button to navigate to New Transaction screen.
Step 4: Enter Customer Aadhaar number under the text-box ‘Enter Customer Aadhaar Card
Number’. You can also scan the QR code available on customer Aadhaar card to pre-populate
the Aadhaar number.
Step 5: Enter customer mobile number under ‘Enter Customer Mobile Number’ text-box.
Step 6: Select the customer’s Aadhaar seeded bank by clicking on ‘Select Account holding
Bank’ drop-down.
Step 7: Click on Proceed button, to navigate to Confirm Transaction screen.
Step 8: Upon confirming the payment details, click on Proceed button to scan customer
fingerprint. Click on ‘Agree and Scan’ button to capture fingerprint of customer.
Step 10: Upon successful fingerprint authentication of customer, payment success screen
will be displayed.
Step 11: Click on the view receipt to view the payment details.

1.3.6 How to view transaction reports
This section explains how to view the reports of the transaction done.
Step 1: Click on the Reports Tab in the My Store screen, you can see the list of all success
transactions done for the day.
Step 2: If you want to filter the transactions, click on the filter icon. You can filter
transactions based on status or date or type.
Step 2: Select the filter based on status or date or type or show all and click the transaction
button will redirect to reports screen showing the filtered results.
Step:3 Click on 'Reset All' button , The application will reset all the selected filters.
1.4.8 How to manage Operators
This section explains how to manage operators under a merchant. Step 1: Tap on the three dots on top left corner on ‘My Store’ screen. ‘Operator Management’ menu will be displayed, in case you are a main merchant. “Operator Management menu will not be visible for Operators. Step 2: Click on ‘Operator Management’. Operator List screen will be displayed with the list of operator name and Operator ID.
1.4.9 How to Add operators
Step 1: Click on ‘Add New’ On the Operator List screen, Add Operator screen will be
displayed.
Step 2: Enter the Aadhaar Number of the new operator to be added. You can also scan the
Aadhaar card number from the QR code available on the Aadhaar card of the operator.
Step 3: Enter the Operator Mobile Number under the text box ‘Enter Operator Mobile No’.
Step 4: Enter the Operator Name under the text box ‘Enter Operator Name’.
Step 5: Click on ‘Proceed’ button to add the operator. Once the add operator is success ,
‘Operator added successfully’ message will be displayed. In case of any error ,failure
message will be displayed .In this case, you may proceed to add the operator again.
1.4.10 How to block operators
This section depicts how to block an operator. Blocking an operator will restrict the operator
from logging in to the Merchant Pay application.
Step 1 : To block an operator ,Click on ‘Block’ button available across each operator on the
‘Operator list ‘screen.
Step 2: A confirmation message will be displayed. Click on ‘Block’ to block the operator. Click
on ‘Cancel’ to cancel the confirmation message pop up.
Step 3: Once the operator is blocked successfully, successful message will be displayed.
1.4.11 How to unblock operators
This section depicts how to unblock an operator. Unblocking an operator will allow the
blocked operator to log in to the BHIM Aadhaar OBC application.
Step 1 : To unblock an operator ,Click on ‘Unblock’ button available across each operator on
the ‘Operator list ‘screen.
Step 2: A confirmation message will be displayed. Click on ‘Unblock’ to unblock the
operator. Click on ‘Cancel’ to cancel the confirmation message pop up.
Step 3: Click on 'Unblock operator' if it is successful, 'Operator unblocked successfully'
popup will show.
1.4.12 How to change MPIN
This section explains how to change MPIN.
Step 1: Tap on the three dots on top left corner on ‘My Store’ screen. ‘Change MPIN’ menu
will be displayed.
Step 2: Click on change MPIN . Change MPIN screen will be displayed.
Step 3: Enter current MPIN in the edit text.
Step 4: Enter 4 digit MPIN on the ‘Enter new 4 –digit MPIN ‘ text-box. Enter the same
MPIN on ‘Confirm MPIN’ text box and click on Proceed button.
Step 5: Application will show a success pop up and on click OK, the application will show
login screen.
