As an undergraduate, I took a class that opened my eyes to environmental
justice. It motivated me to tackle housing policy and equity problems. A professor encouraged me to apply to the BA/MPA
dual-degree program, and I was accepted.

I was a peer mentor, secretary of the Student Government Association, and the first president
of the Honors College Think Tank. These experiences helped me earn a scholarship to
attend a leadership conference. I am so thankful for all of the experiences that being a
Rutgers–Camden student have given me.
Deciding to go to Rutgers−Camden was the best decision I’ve made.
I received an affordable education, and I was taught by professors who have knowledge, research experience, and
global recognition.
The animation program taught me important skills and lessons that allowed me to succeed quickly. The hard work and long hours helped
shape a very exciting career. One of my favorite classes, “Vision and Art,” was incredibly
fascinating, and explored concepts that play into what I do for a living much more frequently
than I would have ever guessed.

I knew that being a history major at Rutgers–Camden would be life-changing.
The education, mentoring, and life lessons that have been shared with me will certainly benefit me in my future
endeavors.
