Minutes of September Membership Meeting
he meeting was called to order by President Paulline at 1900 hours. Officers present, Vice-president Ly
eterson, Secretary, John Lavelle, Treasurer Harold Hansen. The members recited the pledge of allegian
nd observed a moment of silence for POW/MIA and also for those still serving in harms way. A sheet w
assed for members to sign and each member stated their attendance. We were pleased to see Roger and Lin
Granbois who visited from Tennessee as well as Marla Brundies who is recovering from her accident and E
Gilmore who was also able to attend the meeting. We discussed those members in distress which inclu
larke Barnes and Chuck Morel, cards will be sent to both of these members. Coin stories this month cam
rom Arlen Beck who gave a chapter coin to the daughter of a member of the Marine Corps League, Da
Woods who gave one to the owner of the Pvt. Malone Corvette, Ed Gaudet gave one to a veteran from the 1avalry Division, and Ed Hildebrand gave a coin to the Principal of Pleasant Valley High School during t
OW/MIA flag raising ceremony. The minutes for the August meeting were accepted as published in t
ewsletter. Harold Hansen shared the financial status of the chapter with the membership. Larry Witt told t
members that we have 75 Individual members, 95 Life members, and 24 AVVA members for a total of 194. T
nance committee will be meeting on October 14th at the Bettendorf Public Library, Terry Berg has be
dded to that committee. VSO report indicated that the final regulations concerning Camp Lejeune have be
eleased and basically the VA will assist with medical care but there will be no compensation awarded. Clint
nd Muscatine clover sales dates will be set. The 9-Pin bowling tournament is set for September 29th and t
hapter voted to create and pay for a team. October 24th will be the chapter Spooktacular Trivia Night at Po

et for October 30th. The chapter will host an Agent Orange Town Hall Meeting at St. Ambrose University

n May 16th. Terry Berg spoke to the members concerning his health and the care that he had recen
eceived at the Bettendorf VA Clinic as well as at the Iowa City VA Hospital and praised both institutions f
heir work. The chapter voted to host a Classic Car Show on the first weekend in July of 2015. The meeti
