INTRODUCTIONIntegration of electrical devices and mechanical
structures under micro meter scale.
It is a portfolio of techniques and processes todesign and create miniature systems.
It is at its developing stage- main application are
in automobile and medical field. Example- 1. Air bag safety system
2. Pace makers etc..

DESCRIPTION OF EXISTING SYSTEM
The heart of the system is themicrocontroller which access all data.
To convert output of sensor to electricalform we use a transducer.
The analogue data is converted into digitalform using ADC.
The only limitation is that none of thesesensors detects the driver`s misbehaviour.

INFERENCE ON THE SURVEY
RESULTS OBTAINED
Most number of accidents take place due tothe drivers negligence.
A person dies in a crash every 11 minutes.Misbehaviour of the driver cannot be
overruled.
Alcohol consumption before and at the timeof driving cannot be suppressed actively.

Operation of MEMSMicro machined accelerometer is used to measure
the axis of the plane.
The axis in which the vehicle is positioned isdetermined and locked by microcontroller.
If any displacement occurs the microcontroller
triggers the alarm. If impact detected it records GPS coordinates
speed count and impact direction.

STEERING WHEEL GRIP SENSOR The grip sensor is used to determine the drivers
condition
The sensor is composed of poly-vinylidenefluoride film combined with piezo-resisitivematerial.
The temperature sensors are also equipped within
the steering wheel.

Used to detect alcohol content in drivers
breath. If percentage is crossed over a safe
limit(0.15)
the ABS system is activated and the ownerwill be alerted via a GSM network,
Effective in cases if public transport where
the misbehaviour of driver can be overruled. The sensitivity is limited to drivers position.

ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED SYSTEM
Provides high level safety to human life.
Suitable for Indian driving conditions.
Easy retrieval of data for the cause ofaccidents through a permanent storagesystem.
Low cost and less complex system forinstallation and application.

COMPARISON BETWEEN EXISTING AND
PROPOSED SYSTEM
EXISTING SYSTEM PROPOSED SYSTEM
Drinking while driving cannot beoverruled.
It is possible to overrule drinkingwhile driving.
Is more promoted on private
transports.
Is more effective in public
transports.
The passenger has no safety. The passenger is safe in thevehicle equipped with thissystem.
The drivers misbehaviour cannotbe overruled.
The drivers misbehaviour can beoverruled.
