Paper Title : A Survey & Study on Improvements in Efciency and Effectiveness of Multipath
Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks
Name of Faculty Member: ECE, JIETMr. Manish Purohit, Asst. Prof,
In the recent decade, several technology trends have inuenced the eld of WSN in
signicant ways. The rst trend is the more readily available technology of ubiquitous
wireless sensor networks as well as wireless communication networks and progress in the
development of low-power sensor nodes, efcient working sensor networks,
multithreading, communication between nodes, joint routing and scheduling, path availability, less energy
consumption on nodes etc. WSNs have the potentiality to connect the physical world with the virtual world by
forming a network of sensor nodes. Here, sensor nodes are usually battery-operated devices, and hence
energy saving of sensor nodes is a major design issue. To prolong the network‘s lifetime, energy
consumption should be reduced in the sensor nodes. The minimization of computing and storage platforms
as well as the development of novel micro sensors and sensor materials with high reliability force encourages
technology in research on WSN. All the trends have changed the type of dynamic environmental phenomena
that can be detected, monitored and reacted to. Another important aspect is the real-time data delivery of
novel platforms today. In this paper, we will survey the eld of multipath routing in wireless sensor networks,
and mainly focus on the technology of QoS of WSNs. Furthermore, our objective is to investigate how this
technology can be embedded in the current scenario of intelligent
Paper Title : Data Security in Local Networks Using Distributed Firewalls
Name of Faculty Member: IT, JIET Mr. Manish Gehlot, Sr. Asst. Prof.,
Computer and Network security are the means of prevention and detection of unauthorized
actions by users of computer system. The unauthorized action can be dened by the
security policies which denes the security rules of a system. In most of the systems, the
network security is achieved by rewall. A rewall is typically placed at the edge of a system
and acts as a lter for unauthorized trafc. But there are some problems with these traditional
rewalls like they rely on the notation of restricted topology and controlled entry points to
function. Restricting the network topology, difculty in ltering of certain protocols, end-toend encryption
problem and few more problems lead to the evolution of Distributed Firewalls. Distributed Firewall is a
mechanism to enforce a network domain security policy through the use of a policy language, policy
distribution scheme enabling policy control from a central point and certicates, enabling the identication of
any member of the network policy domain. It secures the network by protecting critical network endpoints,
exactly where hackers want to penetrate. It lters trafc from both the Internet and the internal network. They
provide unlimited scalability and also they overcome the single point of failure problem presented by the

perimeter rewall. In this paper I am dealing with distributed rewall concepts, its evolution, its components,
and the policies.
Paper Title : An Approach towards Plant Location and Plant Layout
Name of Faculty Member: ME, JIET Mr. Abhishek Dixit, Mr. Vikas Dave ,
Published At: International Journal of Engineering Science and
Management Research For any kind of production one needs men, material
and machinery. Men work on material with the aid of machinery and tools.
In the process of production at least one of the three, men, material or
machinery has to be moved depending upon the process and the product. If men, material and machinery all
remain stationery there can be no production in the industrial sense. Then what is to be moved is the problem
for the layout engineer. The most common element which is moved from place to place is material except
when the material is big or difcult to transport, or when there is only one piece involved, or when the nished
product is to remain xed where it is to be produced. When tools and machinery are small, it is generally easy
to move the tools and machinery and when machines and materials cannot be moved, the third element of
production, the men are moved. There are various methods of grouping and production machinery, the
common and classical types of the arrangement are xed position layout, process layout and product layout.
These classical layout are used with fabrication operations as well as in assembly, but most plants today are
laid out using a combination of these classical layouts and are never seen in their pure form.
The paper basically is focused upon these different layouts and their efcient utilization in the production
industries. The paper will enlighten different layouts and will also try to fetch the best layout for different
existing condition of the industries.
Paper Title: Cost Effective Method to Reduce Pollution Due to Textile Waste Water
Authors: (I Year Student) Dr. Garima Goswami, Chaitanya Sahadev , Dhananjay Rankawat
(I Year Student)
Earth the Blue planet, has very less quantity of potable water which can sufciently be used
for different human activities from life sustenance to developmental activities. One such
activity which requires large volumes of water for its different processes is the textile industry.
Large volumes of water gets mixed with chemicals during different textile processes and causes pollution
wherever it is discharged, as it cannot be cleaned by normal biological processes. In this paper a very simple
and economical method to clean such hazardous water is suggested, with special reference to water scarce
area of western Rajasthan. An ornamental plant English money plant(epipremnumaureum)which generally is
used for decoration purposes was used to set up a waste water treatment plant to effectively clean such
chemical rich water. This water can then be reused in the same textile industry or for some other purposes
elsewhere.

SEMINAR TOPIC : Environmental Friendly Building Materials
STUDENT NAME : Final Year, CIVILDeepesh Singh,
Eco friendly design methodology can reduce energy consumption by minimizing
energy inputs for heating, cooling and light, and incorporating energy efcient
appliances. Saving energy for the occupant also saves money - an issue that will
become increasingly important as the cost of fossil fuels inevitably rises in the near
future.
Green buildings eliminate these problems through good ventilation design, breathable walls, and the
use of natural, non-toxic products and materials. Embodied energy is an accounting method which
aims to nd the sum total of the energy necessary for an entire product life-cycle.
Use of supplementary cementious materials has made changes in the conventional way of
manufacturing concrete and added a lot more benecial properties to it. Building materials from agro
and industrial wastes are being used in many places for various purposes, making use of recycled
material and reducing the waste.
SEMINAR TOPIC: MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) TECHNOLOGY
STUDENT NAME: Final Year, ECE Amit Verma ,
In Nov. 2004, 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) began a project to dene the
Long-Term Evolution (LTE) of Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS)
cellular technology. LTE is a standard for wireless data communications technology
and an evolution of the GSM/UMTS standards. The goal of LTE was to increase the
capacity and speed of wireless data networks using new DSP (digital signal
processing) techniques and modulations. A further goal was the redesign and
simplication of the network architecture to an IP-based system with signicantly
reduced transfer latency compared to the 3G architecture. The LTE wireless interface is incompatible
with 2G and 3G networks, so that it must be operated on a separate wireless spectrum. LTE was rst
proposed by NTT DoCoMo of Japan in 2004, and studies on the new standard ofcially commenced in
2005.The LTE standard was nalized in December 2008, and the rst publicly available LTE service
was launched by TeliaSonera in Oslo and Stockholm on December 14, 2009 as a data connection with
a USB modem. Samsung Galaxy Indulge being the world’s rst LTE Smartphone starting on February
10, 2011. SC-FDMA is a new single carrier multiple access technique which has similar structure and

performance to OFDMA.A salient advantage of SC-FDMA over OFDM is the low Peak to Average
Power (PAP) ratio: Increasing battery life.
MIMO technology involves the use of multiple antennas at the transmitter, receiver or both. There are
different combinations of array conguration and polarization, transmission and detection schemes
that can be implemented to achieve different purposes in functional and performance terms. Single-
user multi-antenna technologies are well supported in current standard specicationsLTE. Further
development of the specication (LTE-Advanced) is expected to conform to the requirements for IMT-
Advanced systems.
SEMINAR TOPIC: 3D Searching
STUDENT NAME: III Year, IT MANISH BHARTI,
From computer-aided design (CAD) drawings of complex engineering parts to digital
representations of proteins and complex molecules, an increasing amount of 3D
information is making its way onto the Web and into corporate databases. Because of
this, users need ways to store, index, and search this information. Typical Web-
searching approaches, such as Google's, can't do this. Even for 2D images, they
generally search only the textual parts of a le, noted Greg Notess, editor of the online Search Engine
Showdown newsletter.
However, researchers at universities such as Purdue and Princeton have begun developing search
engines that can mine catalogs of 3D objects, such as airplane parts, by looking for physical, not
textual, attributes. Users formulate a query by using a drawing application to sketch what they are
looking for or by selecting a similar object from a catalog of images. The search engine then nds the
items they want. The company must make it again, wasting valuable time and money.
SEMINAR TOPIC: Dual Clutch Transmission
NAME OF STUDENT: Final Year, ME MANISH,
Transmission is the mechanism through which the driving torque of the engine is
transmitted to the driving wheel of the vehicle so that the motor vehicle can move on
the road. The reciprocating motion of the piston turns a crankshaft rotating a ywheel
through the connecting rod .The circular motion of the crankshaft is to be now
transmitted to the rear wheels .It is transmitted through the clutch, gear box, universal
joints, propeller shaft or the drive shaft, differential and axles extending to the wheels .The application
of the engine power to the driving wheels through all these parts is called POWER TRANSMISSION
.The power system is usually the same on all modern passenger cars and trucks, but its arrangement
may vary according to the method of drive and type of transmission units.
