On Monday, October 29, I attended a meeting with the school’s administrative team to discuss, decide, and plan for the week. One important item discussed and approved by the School Board members at this meeting was the revised process and documentation for teacher classroom observation and overall evaluation. On Wednesday, October 31, Ms. Rosa Figueroa, Academic Director, and I presented the revised process and documents to be used for
teacher observation and evaluation to the teachers at the faculty meeting held at 3:00 pm. Therefore, the teachers were informed that this Wednesday, November 7, the formative classroom visits for evaluation will begin. This past weekend, on Friday, November 2, and Saturday, November 3, I attended the PRTESOL (Puerto Rico Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) Annual Convention held at Universidad del Turabo in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. On Saturday, I was pleased because Ms, Maria Santana, our secondary level English teacher, was also attending the 2nd day of the convention. At this convention, I met representatives from various companies, and I brought back information on instructional programs and materials that were at the exhibit halls to share with the administrative team and teachers. This week I will be involved in the following: 1. Meeting with administrative team to share my experiences at the past convention. 2. Continue working on the creation of the guidelines for a Student Advisory Council composed by one representative from each grade in the secondary level (7 to 12 grades) 3 Continue working with the teachers and support staff to complete information on the school’s website 4. Begin assisting Ms. Figueroa with the formative classroom visits 5. As usual, I do my daily walk arounds in the school premises. 6. Assist the School Board in searching for teachers and support staff to fill future vacancies. 7. Ms. Rosa Figueroa has already provided you with important dates for the month of November, so, I will no repeat the information. However, remember you can call the school to make an appointment to see me if you wish. Have a great week and many blessings to you! ******************************************************************************

Figueroa Mundo Academic Director I congratulate all the students who received the student's of the month recognition, I encourage you to continue to reap the qualities of being an excellent student in all aspects.
