▪ A multidimensional app in general works like a very
elaborate pivot table.
▪ The user can explore the data using slice and dice,
filtering, sorting, showing subtotals, and viewing the
data in a chart.
▪ From the data in a multidimensional report, the user can
easily navigate to other SAP Fiori apps, while keeping
the context like the selected ID.
▪ The result set of a multidimensional report can be
extensively personalized. The personalization is saved
in variants.
▪ A certain variant can be set as the default. Variants can
also be shared with others by making them “public”.
▪ The role of the analytics specialist has all the tools to
create additional, customer-defined multidimensional
reports.
