My thanks to those who decided to participate, despite

the three identical Lessons and Carols services offered

today by the Chancel Choir at the morning traditional

services and at 7:00 p.m. tonight. No doubt the

participation rate would have been higher had I selected

a different day, but I am grateful to those who chose to

sing anyway!

The program is presented in Becker Hall today, as is

next week’s program on the piano, for a couple of

reasons. First, the piano is on grade with the rest of the

room, creating the informal atmosphere for a mix of

secular and sacred music. I also was eager to tap into

the built-in audience we have with the group that meets

after the last traditional service to drink coffee and chat.

I hope you enjoy these solo voices of Bella Vista, and

will continue to support the music programs at the

church for years to come!
