Welcome Aboard!
The mission of NR NAVIFOR OPS is to support NAVIFOR in providing operational Commanders ashore and afloat com-
bat-ready Information Forces, which are forward deployable, fully trained, properly manned, capable, equipped, always
ready, well-maintained, and combat sustainable. Based in Suffolk, VA, the unit has a current billet strength of 49 members
(26 Officers and 23 Enlisted). Currently 22 local Reservists (11 O /11 E), and 16 cross-assigned members (8 O / 8 E)
make up the Unit.

NAVIFOR WEST Reserve Support Opportunity
ADT funding is in place to support YN1 or IW O3/O4 support to NAVIFOR West in San Diego, CA,
through the end of the FY. Secret level clearance a must (TS/SCI preferred). Candidate/s must be
highly motivated self-starter/s with thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other
basic computer skills. Strong communication skills a must. Candidate/s for support must be recom-
mended by their CO and forward a resume and/or EQQ/OQQ, along with time period of requested
support, to the NAVIFOR OSO, IT1 Leopoldo Quito at [email protected] (copy to YN2 Kenneth
Webster at [email protected]).

IA/Exercise SPT NAVIFOR N12/N14 utilizes
reserve support to streamline
monthly reporting of IA and exer-
cise support metrics and to im-
prove data collection processes.
Reservists recently developed an
updated tracking tool which auto-
mated previously manual calcula-
tions, improving accuracy and
enabling trend analysis.
IWO PQS Surge
IG Inspection Teams NAVIFOR IG utilizes reservists to support NAVIFOR / FCC C10F IG inspection teams. Pictured above: Civilian and military

to teach the Navy Space Operations
Course.

Incoming OSO: IT1 Quito

YN3 Lyons
YN3 Lyons is joining our reserve N1 team; he is a for-
mer Cryptologic Technician (Technical) (CTT)
and Logistics Specialist (LS).
Incoming OSO: IT1 Quito Outgoing OSO: YN2 Webster
IT1 reported aboard in June. As OSO, he will assist in
coordinating reserve support to NAVIFOR. His back-
ground is Tactical C4 Communications, and he has
12 years of experience working with Navy Reservists.
Upon reporting aboard NAVIFOR earlier this year,
YN2 assumed the duties of OSO from IT1 Stokes and
has been a staunch supporter of Unit Reservists.
