A Note from Kit Pogue: For all of you who join us every year for Cruise for the Cure, the “parent” organization for that event, Curefest, is holding their big fundraiser this weekend, March 24 in Humble, Texas. It is a huge event that includes music from different bands, food, raffles, games, and auctions. Curefest has donated over $500,000 to Anderson research. Those attending the cruise and donating here have contributed a considerable amount toward that total. You can find Curefest online or on Facebook. Every year Randy and Sharon Kidd travel to Curefest to volunteer their time to raise funds for MD Anderson brain cancer research team. It is an occasion near and dear to their hearts as they work to help fund finding a cure and preventing the disease that took their son, Caleb. This year will be no different, except that the main auction item this year will be the 1982 C-10 pickup that Randy and Caleb built for Caleb. There is a lot of Caleb’s personality in this truck, and even more memories. In my opinion this is just a small example of what a giving and caring family the Kidd's are. They will be embarrassed to have this announced, but to me it is an inspiration for all of us to find a place where we can impact this world and jump in with all your might.
Just For Kids
Following the children’s contribution preschoolers age
2 and up are welcome to attend “Children’s
