Location: Downtown San Diego, California

Situation:The 10" diameter sanitary lateral for this hotel had root

intrusion,  causing drain system failures for the hotel. The

lateral pipe runs from the hotel’s basement to the city main,

passing over public sidewalks and the nearby trolley station

and its tracks. Digging the pipe was not a feasible solution.

Solution:The customer chose Nu Flow’s in-place pipe lining solution

because it using nondestructive technology. Using existing

access points and Pull-in-Place technology, the lateral was

cleaned, then a structural liner was installed. This protective

liner will prevent future root intrusion and other failures.
