A B.A. degree designed for students who: Want to pursue a rigorous program of

study across all the sciences Plan to work in fields requiring a broad

science background, such as: Formal science education (i.e., middle schools,

high schools) Informal science education (i.e., museums,

science centers) Science writing Science policy and technology law

INT SCI Degree Requirements

50-60 credits in basic science and math 18-20 credits in disciplinary track 28 credits in Integrated Science courses

covering: Science careers Science as a discipline Science and society Scientific research

Competitive admission: Based on grades, GPA in 35-45 credits

basic science and math, letter of recommendation, and personal statement

Applications accepted in AUT, WIN, and SPR

Atmospheric Sciences*

Biology*

Chemistry*

Earth & Space Sciences*

Environmental & Forest Sciences

Oceanography*

How Can Transfer Students Prepare for the INT SCI Major?

Start basic science and math coursework, especially: Calculus (=UW’s MATH 124-126 series) Chemistry (=UW’s CHEM 142,152,162 series) Physics (=UW’s PHYS 121-123 or 114-119

series) Download sample degree checklist/plan for

intended track for additional help choosing intro coursework
