Who I AM.
We breathe life into a
canvas with our stories,
and it gently cradles our
personal truth.
The canvas never judges,
it only accepts everything
that we are.
We are born beautiful. We are
curious, courageous and not
afraid to ask, “why?”
We trust, we imagine, and we
believe.
A towel is a super hero cape
and a cardboard box is a
castle.
We forge our own paths,
fearless in our determination
because we are oblivious to
what others may think.
We are what we love; we are beauty and limitless possibility.
But then complex messages bombard us, and we begin to apply
subjective societal measures of what determines beauty.
We all just want to love and
belong, and our creative genius
is tender,
so we begin to believe that we need
to become something other than
who we truly are…
We check in to a culture of
conformity, our hearts break, grow
thorns and get put into cages.
We become disconnected.
We feel tight, and the pressure
sometimes is unbearable.
“ART is the set of wings to carry us out of our own
entanglement.”– Joseph Campbell
We have to work on
letting our hearts out into
the world again.
“I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set
him free.” - Michaelangelo
Our stories are told as layers of
experiences that define who we are.
They all have an inner dialogue that
shapes our actions and experiences.
The ART Inside Me encourages a
dialogue with our inner voice and
creates alignment that transforms
our experiences in the world.
When we become compassionate
towards our own story, we also
become compassionate towards the
stories of others.
We chisel away the marble and reconnect to beauty.
We become FREE.
We liberate our passion and possibility.
We are humans; all connected
within a system of Humanity.
When there is harmony within
our systems, we will create
limitless high-level solutions
with greater benefit to our
expanding world.
The Mission of The ART Inside Me Project
is to create whole-hearted dialogues
within ourselves and the world.
This is the most
important
conversation I have
ever had, it took
place on canvas
and it changed how
I view myself,
others and opened
me up to what it
means to be
human. I Am…
Beauty.
