WIRELESS OUTDOOR LIGHTING CONTROL
By
LUMEWAVE
Why Controls Matter• Up to 40% more savings on exterior
lighting, compared to LEDs alone • Full dimming and switching capabilities• Automatic diagnostics and reporting • Built-in motion detector interface• Reduced maintenance time and costs • Enhanced safety and security• Savings verified and monitored • California Title 24-2013 compliance• Adaptive control, embedded power meter
• Campus Lighting • Pathway and Area Lighting • Street Lighting • Parking Lot Lighting • Car Dealerships • Town Centers • City Parks
Lumewave by Echelon 900 Series of wireless control solutions for outdoor lighting can save energy, reduce maintenance costs, provide revenue-grade energy monitoring, report lighting system malfunctions, and work with fixtures from multiple manufacturers.Use the adaptive lighting and demand response features of the 900 Series system to drop lighting levels through multi-level dimming profiles—and bring all or some luminaires back up to high based on motion detector or other inputs. Control the system using LumeStar management software, which runs on any PC and provides a graphical map of your entire lighting system.
The Lumewave system’s distributed intelligence, point-to-multipoint communication and communication range in excess of a mile all help simplify wireless control. You gain greater efficiency and need fewer gateways, which reduces system costs while boosting reliability.
Adaptive lighting enhances public safety by providing high-quality illumination for dark streets, parking lots, and pathways.
Lumewave wireless control systems:• Are simple to install and use • Can be used with any fixture• Mount externally, with one component• Communicate peer to peer• Wireless range greater than one mile • Schedule up to eight events/night• Include AES 128 encryption for security • Available in gray and bronze colors• Feature high-side light level trimming
• Campus Lighting • Pathway and Area Lighting • Street Lighting • Parking Lot Lighting • Car Dealerships • Town Centers • City Parks
Provides the Right Amount of Light. Where it’s Needed. When it’s Needed.
This graph shows how light levels change over a 24-hour period in a typical parking lot situation. Lights are off during the day and are switched on to 50% power at dusk. Motion detectors take lighting instantly to 100%, dropping back to 50% when a user-determined time delay elapses. Soon after midnight, lighting goes off, but any motion detected brings lighting to 100% in a nearby group.
Adaptive Control with Predictive Behavior
Adding an advanced Lumewave by Echelon 900 Series control system to outdoor lighting increases savings—in energy use, maintenance costs and extended fixture life—up to 40% beyond a simple upgrade to LED technology, whether for campus pathways, a parking lot or an entire city.
Your outdoor lighting doesn’t have to be at full output all night long. Fixtures with TOP900 sys-tems can be grouped then dimmed, brought to full light levels and switched based on scheduling by time of day, or in response to light levels or nearby motion.
The Lumewave by Echelon system uses peer-to-peer communication and built-in motion detec-tors to bring lighting from low to high when motion is detected nearby. What’s more, thanks to the industry’s first Bluetooth-enabled microwave sensors (MWX-LVE), the systems can distinguish between vehicles and pedestrians and adjust the lighting accordingly, and to adapt it depending on the direction of travel.
The Lumewave by Echelon system reduces maintenance costs through nightly diagnostics, which automatically report detail information on energy usage, fixture function and malfunctions. Data can be exported in CSV format. Energy usage and operational data can be graphed within application for easy trending and analysis.
