The Great Barrier Reef! What is it?
The great barrier reef is the largest coral reef system in the world. 900 islands stretch for about 2,600 kilometers. Many small islands are scattered throughout the reef.

What creatures live in the Great Barrier Reef
About 30 species of whales and dolphins, and more than 15,000 species of sponges live in the great barrier reef. Humpback whales also pass by about every year. Six of seven species of turtles live in the great barrier reef.
