Surviving are his wife of 50years, Patricia; a son, Louis III;three sisters, Antoinette Gregson,Santa Maiorelli and LouiseTavares, and a grandchild.

John MitkoJohn Mitko, 82, of Monroe

Township, formerly of Linden,died on June 8.

Bom in Linden, Mr. Mitkolived in Monroe for the past sixyears. He was employed by theUnited States Postal Service, Lin-den, as a postal clerk for 37 years

and retired in 1985. Mr. Mitko wasa member of the Linden Knights ofColumbus Council 2859, the Cas-mir Pulaski Parade Committee andthe Linden Senior Citizens Bowl-ing League. He also was a memberof St. George Byzantine CatholicChurch, Linden and its Holy NameSociety. At the Rossmoor Retire-ment Community, Mr. Mitkobelonged to the bocci, bowling andPolish clubs.

Surviving are his wife of 61years, Dorothy; two sons. Dr. JohnD. Mitko, DVM, and ChristopherG, and three grandchildren.

Marion ParkerMarion "Dawn" Parker, 83, of

Lakewood, formerly of Cranford,died June 12 in Ocean Medical

Center, located in Brick.Born in Pennsylvania, Mrs.

Parker resided in Elizabeth andCranford before moving to Lake-wood.

Surviving are her husband of 65years, Frank "Ray;" a son, Gary; adaughter, Ruth Sandberg; twograndchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Soehl, 90, ofLakewood,formerly ofLinden, died

June 9 at home.Born in Roselle Park, Mr. Soehl

lived in Linden before moving toLakewood 12 years ago. He wasemployed by the Linden Board ofEducation as a teacher in LindenHigh School for 36 years beforeretiring in 1981. Mr. Soehl was adecorated World War II veteran,who served as a major in theEighth Air Force and was a P-51

Mustang fighter pilot. He wasawarded the Distinguished FlyingCross and the Air Medal.

Mr. Soehl was a Rutgers Uni-versity, New Brunswick, graduateand received bachelor of arts andmaster of arts degrees. He was acharter member of the VFW Post9119 and a director and member ofthe Linden Civil Defense. Mr.Soehl was a member of the LindenPresbyterian Church, where hewas a Cub Scout leader. He was amaster mason of the CornerstoneLodge 227, Linden.

Surviving are his wife of 68years, Dorothy M.; three daugh-ters, Dorothy Nagele, SuzanneZawoysky and Marjorie Miller; ason, John; seven grandchildren and11 great-grandchildren.
