• Restaurant.com is a great resource for vacationers. Eating out can easily suck up a lot of your budget rather quickly. Restaurant.com offers deals at tons of restaurants and you can even search by are and the type of food you’re in the mood for. This tool will help you save tons of money and maybe you’ll even try something new!
2. Foursquare
• Foursquare is another great vacation asset that can be accessed online or from an app. Foursquare allows you to “check in” at different locations. Sometimes, those check ins will give you coupons or tips on great deals/specials.
3. Facebook/Twitter
• Facebook and Twitter are great resources for finding deals or accessing coupons, hours of operations, or even to see what others have said about a restaurant, event, or location. Facebook and Twitter will give you a good idea of other’s experiences.
4. Local Newspaper/brochures
• Local newspapers and brochures offer a TON of coupons, lists of specials, and reviews of attractions and restaurants. Another great thing about local newspapers and brochures is that you can take them on the go. This way, you can have the flexibility of finding places on the fly and having a guide with you throughout the trip.

• A lot of popular destinations have a website and/or social media sites that offer hot attractions and great deals for vacationers and local alike. The sites are designed to help vacationers get the best of their stay and to give a broad overview of what they have to offer.
6. Buy attraction tickets in advance
• A few weeks before your vacation, think about some attractions you would like to visit while on your vacation. With those in mind, do some research and see which ones will give you the best deals if you buy tickets in advance or on a certain day of the week. This type of planning will be vital in saving money and giving you some things to get excited about in the weeks prior to leaving.

Chances are they have been to a lot of places in the area and they know the ins and outs of the businesses in the area. Even if they don’t know about places to save you money, they WILL be able to point you to places you can get the most bang for your buck.

• LocalEats is another great site for restaurant reviews and deals. LocalEats offers a mobile app too, so you’ll be able to look up places as you pass them or just browse through the listing to see what’s available. Eating out is a huge part of vacationing, so you want to make sure to eat well and save money doing so.
9. Groupon
• Groupon offers deals and coupons for restaurants, activities, shopping, and pretty much anything you can think of. They send out coupons daily and you can search for deals as well. They have a lot of free coupons, but you can also buy deals that in turn give you coupons for ridiculous savings.
10. Livingsocial
• Livingsocial is similar to groupon, but you can never search for too many deals! Signing up for both sites in the weeks before your vacation will give you plenty of time to find the best places to visit for the least amount of money.
