Parenting Corner

Music & kidsGiven the power of music and its potent

messages, parents need to decide what their

kids are ready for. Here are some tips:

1. Be a model for music. Your child will sing

along with whatever you select, so make

sure you choose songs with lyrics you won’t

mind your child repeating if you aren't

around.

2. Keep an eye on digital music. Take note

of what they're downloading and ask them

to play their favorite songs for you.

3. Play your favorite music for kids and

enjoy together. It's surprising how much

kids enjoy listening to vintage tunes. (https://

Principal

SISC to host int’l

schools tourneySISC will host the Asian International Schools

Activities Conference (AISAC) volleyball, basketball,

and football competitions on September 24 - 28, 2014.

It is a great privilege to host the event since it will

serve as an opportunity for the school to benchmark,

to be further recognized, and to network with other

international schools.

SISC students and athletes will gain a lot from this

experience especially those who will host some of

the visitors. They will meet new friends and be

enriched by the cross-cultural experience through

sports. By opening your home and your family to

these delegates, you guarantee that they will have

an unforgettable welcome to SISC.

We would like to thank the family of Ysabelle Ong

for supporting this program. We would like to invite

more parents and families who would like to be

actively involved in the activity to host at least two

(2) students from Global Jaya International School -

Indonesia.

For those who are willing to help, please check the

reply slip at the end of this bulletin or get in touch

with Ms. Rea Villa at 825 - 6374 loc. 157, or the

Public Relations Office at 825 - 6374 loc. 100.
