dps inspection sticker image files
DESCRIPTION
San Antonio-area photographer David K. Langford's lawyer provided this document to KUT News. He says it was given after he filed an open records request with the Texas Department of Public safety. The document shows a Texas prisoner scanned the image for the inspection sticker from a magazine. Langford says he did not give permission for the state to use his art on the inspection sticker.TRANSCRIPT

The cowboy silhouette that was in the Texas art le was scanned by oender Jay VanStory in 1998 (the computer dates every le when it is created). He believes it was a Parks & Wildlife Magazine that he took the image from, however this has not been veried as of 9/13/2010. Oender VanStory redrew it and added it to the archive as clip-art.
