About the Institute

D. Y. Patil College of Engineering (DYPCOE), Ambi, an institution established in 2009

aspires to be a world class institution in the future. DYPCOE has been approved by All

India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Directorate of Technical

Education (DTE) and Government of Maharashtra. All courses are affiliated to the

Savitribai Phule Pune University. It offers Four-Year / Eight-Semester (12+Level) Degree

courses in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and

Telecommunication Engineering & Mechanical Engineering also Post Graduate courses

in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (VLSI & Embedded Systems) &

Computer Engineering. Our students are consistent performer in academics, co-

curricular and extra curricular activities at the university level with the high standards.

CafeteriaThe Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Academy, Pune has alarge Cafeteria and Dining Hall in campus thatcaters to the needs of all the students and staff. Aspecial juice and milk-shake corner along with aconfectionary centre are attached to the cafeteria.The cafeteria acts like a breeding ground for ideasfor all the festivals, technical events and extra-curricular activities in campus and acts as a forumfor students across the institutes to interact andwork with each other.

Cyber SecurityThe Department of IT & Computer Engineeringorganized Short term Certification course onCyber Security . In this training students gotpractical knowledge of cyber security.Expertise also provided knowledge to protectWi-Fi hacking, Email hacking. First Year Induction :2017-18The First year Induction program was conducted on 1st August 2017 in presence of Heads of Institutes

at DYPTC campus. Principal Dr. Abhay A Pawar shared his valuable thoughts with the students and

parents. He gave warm welcome to first year students & parents. He explained in details about D Y

Patil Technical Campus, SPPU Examination schemes rules & regulations. He encouraged students

for excellence in academics and extracurricular activities.

First year toppers of academic year 2016-17 were felicitated by the hands of dignitaries. Prof. Vitthal

Wagh, FE HoD, explained details of First year syllabus as per Savitribai Phule Pune University

Pattern. He encouraged students to learn soft skill and personality development.

Convocation ceremonyD Y Patil College of Engineering , Ambi witnessed, first Annual Convocation Ceremony with its Fifth

Batch of Engineers who successfully graduated in the year 2016-17. As an emerging college, it was a

proud moment for D Y Patil College of Engineering to begin with alumni forum on this auspicious day.

The event was organized brilliantly by the Management, Director, Principal and Faculty. Our well-

deserving students took oath to practice integrity, fair dealing and to uphold devotion to the standards

and dignity to engineering profession.

The event was graced by esteemed guests Dr. Ashok Ghatol,(Former VC of BATU, Lonere), Dr. Y. D.

Venkatesh. Hon. Dr. Vijay D. Patil (President of D Y Patil Educational Academy, Ambi), Mrs. Shivani

V. Patil, (Secretary, of D Y Patil Educational Academy, Ambi). The Principal of D Y Patil College of

Engineering and Hon. Director of D Y Patil Educational Academy, were present to honour the

graduates.

The convocation was attended by students from the Departments of Mechanical, E&TC, Computer

Engineering and Information Technology. A total of 340 students attended the convocation ceremony.

It was a moment of pride to see fresh graduates wearing their graduation robes and convocation

hats.

Every year, new milestones areestablished which speaks well for the strengthsof our student community as well as thediversity of academic program offered.

Our final year students have already undergonea robust training program and severalrecruitment drives for various renownedcompanies. Our campus recruitment programorganised in the penultimate semester of theprogram has successfully met the HR needs ofleading recruiters. With their diversity and well-balanced technical and soft skills, our studentsare well equipped to contribute towards thesuccess of the organization they will be joining.

One of the unique features of our college is thatwe initiated internships for our students inrenowned industries also in Small and MediumEnterprises(SMEs) from the time when theycompleted their Third Year. Hands-onexperience at such an early age, whichthereafter will continue on completion of theirfinal year will give them good enough clarityand connect to the corporate world. An earlyexposure to the corporate world gives themmore number of opportunities to show-casethemselves to the outside world and theirsincere work will lead to them being placed incompanies of their choice.
