A prominent medical practitioner in Atlanta, GA, Dr. Kimes is an emergency medicine physician at Grady Memorial Hospital and Chief of Emergency Services at Upson Regional Medical Center. Since completing his residency at top-ranked Emory University, Damon has emerged a leading physician and ground-breaking researcher. Serving more than 140,000 patients per year, Dr. Kimes is paving the way for progressive emergency care at today’s foremost medical facilities. Admired for his honest and genuine concern for people, he is respected by peers and patients alike. A graduate of Meharry Medical College, he
is upholding a rich tradition of medical distinction.
Characterized by his undying will and continual drive to succeed, Dr. Kimes has overcome great odds and achieved the unimaginable. Growing up in the inner city of Vineland, New Jersey, things weren’t always so bright. Determined to create a better reality for himself, he focused on his studies. A talented and gifted individual, Damon excelled and became a top student. Through sacrifice and hard work he was able to attend private school and join A Better Chance, a program designed to get inner city youth into very prestigious boarding schools. His diligence would eventually earn him a college scholarship to Case Western University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
In addition to his successful medical career, Dr. Kimes is also an innovative and astute businessman. As CEO of Kimes Management, he oversees the operation of several companies. Together with his wife, Dr. Heavenly Kimes, they have built a thriving enterprise that includes retail stores; real estate and financial services; and several dental and medical offices. An accomplished musician, Damon is also Founder/CEO of Regatta Records, an independent record label. Proficient in eight instruments, he produces, arranges, and writes his own music. His unique flair and style has garnered him accolades and attention from major music industry leaders.
Inspired by his strong beliefs and family, Damon is committed to positive thinking and living. A true example of excellence, Damon practices what he teaches.
